Good drive but when you attempt to clone your existing drive, the Samsung Data Migration program says it is not compatible with Samsung Magician or Samsung Data Migration. I had to purchased Acronis True Image software for $50 in order to clone my old drive. It now works perfectly, but Samsung shouldnt tell you in the instructions that came with this drive to download and use the free Samsung programs if they arent compatible with this drive.

When powering up my PC I used to have to wait for Windows 10 to settle down before I could really do anything. HDD would be at 100% and it would take a couple minutes for everything to load up and be ready to use. Not anymore! This 970EVO SSD is lightning fast and everything from Windows startup to gaming is much, much better. My previous WD 1tb Sata 6gb/s 7500rpm HDD has been assigned to storage duties which makes for a nice affordable setup with plenty of space.

This is really the best in SSD technology. Its expensive but really worth the money.

Definitely worth going for the NVME SSD. A lot more expensive but the read/write speeds are phenomenal!!!

This drive replaced an older (2014 model) Samsung 256MB SSD. The system replication software from Samsung worked flawlessly, I have been using the new SSD for a month now with no issues. It does run a little bit hot at 60 to 70C and there is no space for a heatsink in my laptop chassis. That is my only concern for the longevity of the device.

I first tried using this drive under Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, formatted as NTFS. Very nice performance. Impressive, as compared with a Samsung EVO SATA-3 SSD.

I went from a 6 year old IBM SATA SSD to this, I didnt really notice any difference in performance. I use my pc for games (no video editing or anything like that) most of the games and installs I have done on this drive have completed in about the same amount of time my old drive did. Guess I expected a more noticeable performance increase. However It does function as expected and that is all that really maters in the end.

The 1TB capacity one is $150USD more expensive than my local stores ON SALE PRICES.
