> 24 hourI installed the Samsung 860 EVO in an Aspire TC-780. The drive mounted to the frame easily. I used Samsungs Data Migration software to clone my existing HDD to the SSD. The software was very easy to use and worked perfectly. After the clone, I swapped SATA ports for the HDD and SSD and the computer booted from the SSD. Easy-peasy.

> 24 hourI got this a year ago with my new computer. It originally came with a 1TB HDD. Being a new computer specced for gaming, it was already pretty fast, but the startup speed got cut pretty much in half when I installed this thing. I timed how long it takes to close my programs, restart, log back in and reopen my programs (including Discord and whatever game Im playing). It takes about 60 seconds. If theres a Windows update, it takes another 10-20 seconds. Totally worth the upgrade.

> 24 hourPrices has drop per gb over the years. I needed more space vs the 128gb 840 evo. Faster bigger cheaper. Do it.

> 24 hourI have the 860 EVO 1tb and its great plug and play. So much faster than hdd. This is my first ssd and its a good one. Just watch out I think the tbw changes with storage capacity. The reason some are more expensive is because of the longevity measured in tbw. This is middle of the road in terms of longevity and its more than Ill probably ever use.
