You wont get a better quality SSD for this price range and looks decent enough to be displayed on a glass panel PC case

I dont know why there is a battery life rating for this item since AFAIK it doesnt have one. Apart from that its been a very nice improvement to an eight year old laptop. Doubled the size of the disk--was 500GB, now 1TB and it boots up much faster and has no more moving parts--all in one well-priced purchase! Im happy. Now I want to get another one to add to my current laptop ;-)

Whats not to love about these drives? They are fast, the Samsung cloning tool makes it easy to upgrade an existing machine, and it is very reasonably priced.

Luckily in the reviews section there were some great instructions as to troubleshooting the install of this bad boy. The whole process took 30 minutes! 25 for the data migration and 5 minutes for the installation if that long at all. I cannot speak to what this sad will do for your rig but it has upped the speed what seems like 10xs what it was doing before! After install I was getting reads and writes both above 500mb/s! Just as advertised. Playing fallout 4 is now stutter free where as before I would get stuttering that would last several seconds. I’ll be sure to dish out the 200$ for a larger storage next time!!!

I got two with 2tb to use as raid and two with 1tb all in feb. 2020, so far they are very good the ones with 1tb one is for my 2017 imac to upgrade from hdd and another 1tb is for windows laptop. Works exactly as advertised.

Easy installation. My first time replacing my hard drive and even as a newbie, the process was extremely simple with the included software to transfer data. However, it wouldnt work for a while and then I saw an update option. After the update it was great. But Samsung should send these things with the latest updates, duh.

I have a Lenovo Legion y7000p that came with a 2.5 Seagate 1 Tb hdd (in addition to a 250 Gb nvme M.2 but thats a different review) that Ive needed to upgrade. The Samsung 860 EVO 2 Tb came in today and I had it installed in about 15 minutes. If youve never done a drive install in a laptop before, Id recommend you do your research on how to access it and swap it out. Its usually not too difficult but every laptop is different. Also, in my case, the 2.5 drive is a secondary, storage drive and NOT the boot drive. After a quick partition and format (Win10) it was ready to go.

Downloaded 2 samsung programs. transfer data, and magician. Drive works flawlessly. noticeable improvement over old spinning drive. Happy user.
