Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I finally got the drive installed in the computer today after my old drive filled up. After it was installed I ran the Samsung Magician utility that I use for my other Samsung drives in the system. The utility brought up the drives info, but identified it as Not Genuine. I really didnt expect to get a clone drive from Amazon. I have had it for too long to return it, but next time I buy something like this, Ill make sure to find a way to verify it is a genuine item, not a clone!!!

Upgraded my Acer Nitros stock 7200 RPM HDD with this gift from my wife. If youre here looking to see if something like this would really make a difference just stop and buy it. I 3d print minis and terrain using several slicing programs and this took that time down from several minutes to a matter of seconds. Not my first Evo so my expectations were high - this drive continues to maintain my standard.

First time installing this was a breeze!

I used it to replace an old mechanical hard drive in my laptop using the transfer software off the Samsung website, and boot time went down to a few seconds. Sadly, the rapid mode doesnt work 100% of the time due to a conflict with some of the hardware, but its still a great upgrade that should last for years. Just make sure you have the cables to transfer files to it ahead of time, if thats what you are doing.

This was a brand new SSD and it has been working great so far! Ive not had any problems at all and I will update if anything happens. At this point it does what its supposed to.
