Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

The price for these SSD hard drives have come down significantly over the last couple of years. As a result, it is now affordable and worth every dollar to replace the old 5400RPM Hard drives in our 2011/12 Macbook Pros that my kids have been using. The whole process (outside of cloning the drive) takes less than 15 minutes to complete if you follow the instructions. There are only nine phillips head screws on the bottom panel of the laptop that need to be removed, a couple more that hold the drive in place and then the four torx posts that are on the drive.

Easy to install and performs very well. This SSD can cut down boot up time and copying and pasting big files. Highly recommend. Definitely good for reviving old pcs/laptops and/or upgrading your device.

Replaced in one of my clients old laptop from HDD installed everything from scratch .Gave it to him , few days later i got very good feedback that he is in love with his old laptop again !!

I got this for use in a computer running Windows 7 that I have dedicated for video editing. I built it a few years ago and run Sony Vegas which, by the way, is a great video editing program. Anyhoo, I had a couple of 1TB Western Digital high RPM drives, which did okay, but there was some delay in booting up the OS, opening up the main program, and video files. Now, however, things happen very quickly. When I open a file, it opens right now!

I got this ssd to replace the dying hard drive in my 8-year-old Lenovo Ideapad. I dont know how much more life I bought for the device this way, but it works fine for my modest purposes (Internet, playing old games, Office apps). There is a noticeable but undramatic improvement in startup and load times.

I bought one of these for my first gaming rig as a windows launch drive. My start up is very fast compared to a hard drive. I have never used a solid state drive before this so the difference is like night and day to me.

I play games like World of Warcraft, Tera, Black Desert, Skyrim, Doom, Wolfenstein, etc... A new recommended requirement for World of Warcrafts latest patch said use an SSD. I had been thinking about moving my 4+TB of games, or at least some of them a bit at a time (no pun intended), so wanted to stick with a 2TB max SSD and buy a couple of them. That way, if one failed, I didnt lose everything all at once. The Samsung went on sale, and I already had a Samsung NVMe 970 Pro in the computer, so buying another Samsung meant the Samsung Magician (SSD software) would work and I wouldnt have to run two pieces of SSD toolbox software (having two manufacturers).

Super fast and super easy to install. My home built machine is screaming fast. Hurts to go to work and have to wait “eons” for things to load!

great hard drive realy impressed if it was not for the wrong size that was delivered paid for a 1TB and got a 500gb delivered please this is a mistake big difference in price of 1Tb and 500gb
