> 3 dayYou cant go wrong with Samsung EVO. I have installed many 850 and 860 series. They are very fast, typically maxing out the data bus.

Greater than one weekAdded this drive to replace a 7200 rpm mechanical HDD as my OS drive. Amazing, it made my 4th Gen i7 feel like a newer faster pc. No problems during installation. Overall, I would recommend this product.

> 3 dayI replaced a 2TB that used shingled recording (most 2.5 inch drives) and started to drop transfer speed down to 5MB/sec. This SSD gives me consistent 420MB/sec speeds. This is for real file transfers and NOT a speed test result. I am very pleased.

> 3 dayIve had this for few months now and no surprises. I did read the various reviews not just on amazon but everywhere and seems like Samsung has the best reliability/performance numbers. Id hoping to extend the life of my laptop a few years and needed something that will last that long. Ive used the 850 on a different laptop and that one is still going strong. Performance for this 860 meets the advertised numbers so Im pleased.

> 3 dayReplaced a 2 TB SSD with this 4TB one. So far, performance has been flawless, as should be the case of all SSDs. Speeds are unimpressive -- copying a 43.8 GB set of mostly multi-GB files from and to itself took a whopping 182 seconds, for a speed of 241 MB/s, far below the advertised 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write. Copying the same file set from it to an internal M2 SSD took 122 seconds, for 359 MB/s (again, well below the advertised 550 MB/s), and coping the same file set from the internal M2 SSD to this unit took a whopping 154 seconds, for a mere 284 MB/s.

> 3 dayThe comparisons of this vs a mechanical drive is crazy. This outperforms anything I have ever used. The price was high for a 4tb vs a mechanical 8tb coming in about $150 USD vs $600+ for this but its well worth it. Load times for something like a large game for Unity in the editor takes mins while a mechanical drive is almost an hour. Well worth the money. It was easy to install I used a SATA cable and hooked right up.

> 3 dayThis was just what I needed, but I was not able to get my laptop hard drive to clone to this new SD drive so I had to return the item.
