If you want a fast and reliable SSD pick this. Im using it as an game drive and it works better than other SSDs.

I replaced my HDD with this one and Im satisfied with speed and lightweight. 520mb is read, 508mb is write speeds.

I am very happy with the evo 860 1 tb. When I initially started building my pc I went with 860 500gb for cost reasons but these days the 1tb cost as much as I paid for the 500gb haha. Read/writes are ample for almost anything. Even transferring entire games is a breeze. I moved my steam collection around and it was still pretty quick. I havent read much about the new 870 but the 860 is fast in its own rights. Very pleased with this purchase, wish I could trade my two 500gb for a 1 though lol. I am going to have to install a pcie sata bus to keep upgrading lol.

Put this in an HP 15-p043cl laptop. The machines old HDD was running slow and hot (95+ degrees) all the time, was ready to get a new laptop. Watched one of Carey Holzmans videos on how to really breath new life into a laptop, and I did what he suggested; get an SSD and more RAM and it is like a brand new machine. The avg operating temp now is 82 degrees or lower, the fan barely comes on, and runs super quiet and get this; its startup time was 1 min 15 seconds, now 10 seconds or less. If you have a laptop you like, but its older and sluggish, please seek out the youtuber i mentioned above, watch laptop vid, follow the instructions and you will damn near have a better than new machine.

For a long time, my machine works with a mechanical hard drive. This was the bottleneck. After installing SSD now I have a fast computer. The installation is very easy with the Data Migration software program.

This is very easy to install and performance is great. I used since software to copy-clone my current Toshiba harddisk to this drive. It was fast and I was able to get going in coke of hours.

Used this to upgrade an older computer. While it is still limited to a 6/gbs interface, it is still faster than a platter 7200rpm HD. Now this computer starts up much faster, and is much more responsive than before.

I installed this as a secondary drive to supplement my Samsung 970 Pro primary drive. I know many would consider this overkill for a Media/Game drive, but after getting accustomed to SSD speeds, using a hard drive is slow torture. A 250GB - 512GB NVMe boot drive and a 1TB - 2TB SATA SSD Media/Game drive is the best combination Ive found for both price and speed. There are other less expensive SATA SSDs that are quite good, but with both drives made by the same company, I can monitor the status of both drives from the same program (Samsung Magician).
