If you need to breath some new life into your older computer this option is a cheap and effective way to do it. My only complaint is its no faster than a cheaper, lower capacity and older SSD that it replaced, other than that Im very happy with it.

Excellent quality of lightweight SSD, small I fit my CASE perfectly.

I pay a premium for my SSDs. Samsung is significantly more expensive. BUT you get fantastic free migration software. and have NEVER had a samsung SSD fail on me. Seems the SSDs monitor themselves for failing cells. then replace thos cells with spares.. when you first install this thing you can set how many spare there are (besides the extra that come with it they recommend 10%) If you want the SSD to last for decades you can probably set the spare cells for over 10%. Other than media storage (for which i use Western digital MY book type drives.. all my hard drives are SSDs now. To see teh difference between a moving part drive and an ssd.. is quite noticable just in booting windows. SSDs are FAST, use less electricity and have no moving parts. I love my Samsung SSDs.. (Cept they are pricy)

My hp laptop with 1 TB hdd was taking 5 mins to boot and open chrome. After replacing hdd with samsung evo 860 500 gb ssd, my laptop takes 40 seconds to boot and open chrome. Wonderful performance!

i bought this for my wifes pc, and just like the other two samsung ssds i own it is great. it is the only brand i recommend to people when they ask about buying an ssd.

Hardrive on the ps4 got corrupted. Installed this SSD 1TB and it works great. Easy to install. Have not had any issues with it since it was installed.

Ease of installation as expected. All my systems including router use Samsung SSDs. I never had a bad one. This one makes number 16. My tower alone has 8, plus 2 on my router, Plus 3 on my wifes Laptop, and 3 on the media room laptop; all run as SATA 6. As far as I am concerned, why buy anything else? In my humble opinion, these are the industries finest. And yes, I am a former mainframe and PC performance specialist with 30 years Bell Labs experience.

This is the good stuff. So far its been fast, reliable and trouble-free. I used the Samsung support software to optimize the drive. No complaints so far. This drive replaced an off-brand drive that I had to return because half the time the SATA device wasnt recognized by the computer upon booting.
