After many, many frustrating hours of freezes at 99% with Samsungs migration software, running CHKDSK C: /r in CMD mode from Windows search ,as well as trying Macriums, and EaseUSs cloning and backup software [including several hours with the latters helpful tech support ], HDTune Pro identified bad physical sectors on my old C: drive. CHKDSK and other disk repair apps can fix damaged soft sectors, but not hard ones.

I used this SSD to uograde a 32gb emcc on my wifes hp notebook. It was a brand new laptop purchased in 2016. Windows needed to be upgraded but it wouldnt do it due to the lack of space. Removed the emcc, installed the SSD along with windowns 10 installed on a flash drive and it loaded right up. No problems since.

Quick and easy install, just unplug the old drive and plug in this one. Easy. Drive is standard size and was recognized by the computer with no problem. A++

Good, solid quality and Ive never had any problems with them. Upgraded from a 500G Samsung when I upgraded laptops. This particular drive hosts my Linux OS and, like the one in my desktop, it just works. I just wish the 2TB were cheaper...

OMG wish I had done this long before. What used to take 5-10 minutes to boot up now takes less then 30 seconds. Was going to buy a whole new desk top Think my 3 yr old ASUS will be good for a coupe of more years. The install was easy enough after watching a few videos. Install with cloning took bout 3-hrs
