    I guess those things happen, but I have used it maybe 10 times to backup a 500GB MacBook Pro in 1 year ½ and it is not recognized by macOS or Windows for that matter, even after attempting to erase it and repartitioned it. Ill now look for a different brand.

    Using these for backups. For example, on Windows I am using a backup solution that takes full image backups doing full, differential, and incremental such that it can restore from bare metal if needed. The solution I am using with one of these drives is called Macrium Reflect. On the Macintosh system, I am using another drive just the same only with the built-in TimeMachine. Yes, they support ExFat, NTFS (Windows), APFS or HFS+ on Mac. You can use them on just about any system you want. On a Windows machine, you can right click on it under This PC and select to Format (erase) and select a filesystem like NTFS, which is better on Windows than the factory ExFAT. On the Macintosh, it pretty much sets itself up for Time Machine if you open Time Machine and select the drive.

    Got to watch a few videos in YouTube for settings in my laptop and phones Developer Options but all in working conditions. Now I can transfer from laptop or phone to SSD and viceversa. Now phone footage dont need to take space in the computer in order to edit or make videos; they can easily be read from the SSD and save the final product in it too. Simple!!
