I got this because it is the fastest external drive you can get for your PS5, which supports USB-C 3.2.

This is a very nice quality item. used with Macbook Pro laptop, and works fine. no temperature problem at all as far as I have seen.

Just what I was looking for to storage my works

Small, light weight, and super fast. I use this for an external hard drive for my Xbox One X and I notice an incredible decrease in load times on my games (Especially the newer games like AC Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Mac Effect Legendary Edition). Comes with a USB C to USB C cable as well as a USB A to USB C cable.

I was looking for a Solid State large capacity unit (have too many flash drives). This drive provided a capacity which will take some time to fill up. It is small enough to put in a shirt pocket (size of a credit card). Recommend for those who take work home with them.

Literally only had this drive in use for about 20 minutes and my entire use case was a dump 900GB of data to it which is in both large and small files, but mostly small files. It is spending 80% of the time at ZERO write speed while showing 100% activity doing god knows what. I assume this has no cache to speak of or a terrible controller because the overall speed of this drive is abysmal for anything that isnt a super large single file transfer.

I work with audio and some of these virtual instruments required a lot of space and fast read speeds. I have 4 Samsung T5s to cover that. I am starting to work with video and I needed a dedicated drive for it. It seems like the T5s are being discontinued and these new T7s claim to be better. I decided to try one just to be extremely disappointed with its performance. All of the T5s show at least 400MB/s transfer rates. The T7 did only between 30 to 40MB/s and it would get really warm. I really hope that Samsung fixes this issue. I guess I will try to manage with the drives I have while I find a better solution.

Well built and works fine. I get around 350/MB with the standard USB cable and around 650MB with the USB-C.
