> 24 hourThis product is the best. Ive had fishes since I was a child and I never saw something that worked this well. I tried it in my 72 gallon tank first as Ive waste generating blood cichlids in with my small kois, and the water was a bit stained from meds, natural rocks and other stuff. Fifty percent Water changes helped but this stuff cleared it up in 2 days. My boyfriend who knows nothing much about fishes came in on the weekend and said what did you do the water looks really clear. I also used it on my 32 gallon tank which usually looked quite clear since I bought a uv filter, but this made it crystal clear in a couple days.

> 24 hourLike many people, I was confused when I received this product because it was very different to what I usually purchase in the store. The mesh bag was longer and and the package it came in was a lot larger. After seeing many 1-2 star reviews claiming the product was counterfeit, I decided to reach out directly to Seachem. Heres what they said: We did briefly try out a a new bagging method for the Purigen packs. However, we have since gone back to the older version. It is not counterfeit! Simply a change from Seachem. Since it is online however, there is no telling whether you will receive the original size or this trial change. For people who expect specific dimensions this could be inconvenient. To sum up, I managed to accommodate for the different sized bag, and needless to say it is working just as spectacularly as I remember Purity working.

> 24 hourStuff is fantastic! I removed my carbon filter and left just the regular spongy filter.. within 24 hours it will clear up my tank, after a water change, and helps keep the ammonia down.. I have yet to rejuvenate it.. ( in the process of it, but am afraid it will put too much chlorine in the tank) so it does get a little expensive.. and does not last as long as it claims.. Only works for about 2 weeks.. But I also have a new tank. so well established tanks, it might work longer.... so for me it can get expensive.. But it makes the water so clear.. I love it! but think in the future I will go bulk with it...

> 24 hourBest chemical media on the market. The fact that you can easily recharge it with bleach is definitely a bonus. Only 4 stars due to the bags splitting at the seams. Had to buy some aftermarket bags to put the Purigen in due to this.

> 24 hourThis was a easy add to my aquarium filter, I’m new to freshwater aquarium fish. I cleaned my filter, washed the Organic Resin bag, and placed it in the filter with my other Seachem product. I could see an almost instant result. So easy!

> 24 hourI haven’t taken it out of the packaging yet, I’m going to wait until my first filter maintenance to pop this bag in the very top... I’m running a penn plax 1000 on a 55 gallon chichlid tank

> 24 hourThis product may be the best addition to my aquariums that Ive ever purchased. It came time to reorder carbon media for my Fluval HOB filtration systems, and I happened to stumble on this by chance and thought heck Ill give it a try. Im pretty meticulous in keeping my aquarium water in healthy condition and I would not have said that my water ever seemed cloudy to me, but literally within 12 hours of using this, the fish tank water is so visibly sparkling that it honestly shocked me. I wondered if it were some sort of fluke, so I ordered another bag for my second tank and saw the exact same results. Seriously -- if you are an aquarium enthusiast with a replaceable carbon media bag, you will NOT regret switching to this product. Id give it 10 stars if I could!

> 24 hourFor so many years I was trying to find the right filter-filter media. I just wanted to accomplish one goal, that the water was clear and healty in the aquarium, the kind of water you see in the pictures of aquarium books. I did try powerheads with sponge filters, them moved to waterfalls, then to bigger waterfalls, trickle filters, then to canister filters. With the canister filter I tried many different filter media: carbon, phosphate remover, floss, more sponge, ceramic noodles, peat and many more things. Nothing worked to accomplish my goal, until I found Purigen: Not only helped me to accomplish my goal but it did it in one night, I did put a fluidized kind of filter with Purigen on it, and at the next day the water was clear and looked healthy, I didnt test anything on the water, but since then I havent had any dead fish just the oposite thriving everiwher . Since the water was not clear the plants where diminish, now they are to growing, they get more light. The fluidized filter got messy, so I got back to the canister filter, put the Purigen on The Bag and the results are the same stunning results. Seachem caught my attention, after Purigen I did use Matrix on the canister filter, just to make sure the filtration was optimum. I been using Prime and Stability. To me perfect water. Now I am testing Flourish Excel and Flourish is on the way to me. The DIY CO2 generator is on the trash. If you are reading this, and you are considering Purigen, go for it. Hopefully it will get you to the level of satisfaction that I got.

> 24 hourThe particles are like small sand, and they come in a mesh bag. There was a little dust, but it came off with the tap water rinse before I put it in the tank. I just threw it haphazardly in my hang-on-back filter, and the water has miraculously gone from a super-tannin-dark brown to crystal clear in less than six hours. I was super skeptical, but Im a believer now!

> 24 hourReally made a huge difference with my Axolotl tank. I have 2 HOBS and put this in one and next day crystal clear water and it’s staying that way. This is one of the best aquarium products I’ve purchased. Will buy again.
