> 3 dayI am not an audiophile, but own a lot of music and I have done a lot of listening. Recently I went on the quest for the perfect headphone to plug into my computer while I’m working at home, or web surfing.

> 3 dayI own these, Grado SR325s and AKG K712s. All similarly priced open back headphones and all purchased through Amazon. I have tried all 3 with digital and analog sources and with old fashioned MOSFET amplification as well as modern Op-Amp amplification. Compared to the Grado and AKG counterparts, I do not prefer the sound of these. The most distinct area these are lacking is in the treble, which lacks the clarity of the AKGs or smoothness of the Grados. They are however built sturdily and quite comfortable, especially compared to the Grados. Thus the Its okay. 3 star rating.

> 3 dayExceeded my expectations. Ive mixed or listened to many good to great monitors but Ive never listened to a set of high-end headphones. Natural bottom end and - wow - love the presence they give to vocals. I havent listened to anything commercially recorded as yet - just what I am mixing in my own studio - but cant wait to hear what Ive been missing in some of my favorite recordings.

> 3 dayMy new HD600 arrived with the sound cutting in and out on the right side. I feared I would have to exchange them but Googled for the problem and came across the Head-fi guide which said this:

> 3 dayThe HD600 has been an audiophile favorite for two decades for good reason. Its sound is open and airy, well-balanced across the frequency range, and just a pleasure to listen with. It does everything well.

05-04-2025I bought these as an upgrade from my Sennheiser HD 598s, and I couldnt be happier with them. They have a very open and airy sound, with a wide soundstage and great clarity. Overall Id call it a laid-back listening experience, the highs are detailed but not fatiguing, and the bass is good quality but not overemphasized.

> 3 dayAfter trying the Beyerdynamic T1 and the Sennheiser HD800, I have realized that my desktop equipment could not handle them better than the HD 600 so I turned to the HD600 and loved them. I will be selling my HD 800 and T1 soon. The HD 600 is simply easier to handle for the AMP and DAC and produces a sound that is more musical and non-clinical. I will be keeping this pair.

> 3 dayThese headphones are pretty much the standard for this price range, and excellent if you want to explore more detail in what you listen to.
