Sennheiser HD 600 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

So Ive been in the headphone audiophile game for some years now and have experience with various tube and solid state amps. For comparison, I own(ed) Audeze LCD-X, Senn HD800S, Senn 660S, Hifiman Aryas, Focal Clear, DT1990, DT1770, and a bunch of cans under $250 mark.

Highly accurate sound, has been a reference headphone for recording for years. Extremely comfortable to wear for hours, open-air design allows you to easily hear what is going on around you.

I do not like how the cords Y shape coming down catches my chin when I remove these headphones. Ive had to change the way I take them off so this doesnt happen. Sometimes taking them off I pull my own hair a little bit, this can be prevented by training myself to remove them differently.

All these reviews are correct. These are the most comfortable headphones youll ever wear. They have the cleanest, clearest sound. But the durability is a terrible problem! I have two pairs of 580s, and one has been back 3 times and the other 2 times. The problem is the jacks that connect the cable to the headphone eventually get loose, causing the earpieces to cut out. Both are now out of commission again. All the great sound and comfort in the world will do no good if they dont play... (5 stars for sound, 5 stars for comfort, and 0 stars for reliability)

Bought them for my husband; he loves them. Me? Not so much unless I put them on! I guess everyone who are looking for those headphones will know exactly what Im talking about. Were in the same room, hes listening to his vinyls, im trying to watch a movie!

Ive had HD580s for years. They sound terrific. Unfortunately they had a loose connection in the cables from the beginning so I didnt use them much--they sounded fine, but I had to play with the cables and then not move to use them.

What great headphones for the money! Even minus an amp, the definition is fantastic. I listen to all kinds of music, and am picky about sound quality. With classical, this headset really shines. Mahlers 2nd will take you to the heights. Bach will make you weep.
