Sennheiser HD 600 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

WHO NEEDS SPEAKERS ANYMORE. YOU HAVE NOT HEARD MUSIC TILL YOUVE HEARD THESE HEADPHONES. THE PRICE MAY SEEM LARGE FOR SOME PEOPLE, BUT IF YOU WANT TO ESCAPE LIFE THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT.

If you are looking at these, then you already know how good they are.

They are great for what they are designed for, listening at home. I can run them off my phone and they sound at least as good as my ATHM50X, but plug them into an amp and DAC and they sound incredible to me. Very detailed sound. I have a Schiit Audio modi 3+ DAC and Magni Heresy amp.

best dynamic headphone Ive ever used. the bass isnt amazing...and doesnt produce the response that a planar headphone does. That being said, there are no planars that Ive listened to within $150 of these that are as good. Just buy the darn headphones you cant be disappointed.

I purcased these and was simply blown away with the outstanding detail, exeptionally comfort, and surprising bass quality.

As a New York recording a mixing engineer Ive had the opportunity to listen to quite a few pairs of headphones. The Sennheiser HD600s are the clearest, fullest, and most balanced headphones Ive heard so far. While they wouldnt work for a performer in the studio because of the open-air design and considerable leakage, they have become a must-have as a mixing reference, especially when mixing in a new and unfamiliar room.

As both an audio engineer and recording artist, I use these for checking mixes. They are to me just another means of making sure everything translates properly. I dont find them to be lacking in bass as some people have noted. Nor do I find them to be overly dark as a fellow engineer recently told me. I find them pretty spot on neutral which is what I wanted out of them. I know when something sounds good on these, Ive gotten pretty close to my goal. That doesnt mean I would mix with these, but I might check for certain details in the soundstage with these as opposed to my monitors. They have a very accurate soundstage. Indeed, listening to a 32 bit master as I wrote this, I find very little is lacking. And now that theyve lowered the price to $279, you really cant do better at this price point.

Exactly as described used them for professional purposes at my lab to realize listening tests and I am very satisfied with the quality and comfort.

I’m not an audiophile or anything, I just wanted one single pair of high end headphones to use daily for my desktop computer.

The sound and positionning on them is god like. Before them with my phone i used senhisers momentum tw for obvious reasons and some old 100£ beats with my pc. I desided to buy these headphones, I come home open the great box they come in, switch on youtube test them and keep staring and the screen so concentrated on the audio that it feels like there is nothing in the world appart from me and the music, if recorded on a good mic the audio feels like it is just in front of you and togeather with the level of comfort that these headphones have you go beyond being immersed in the game/music/podcast
