> 3 dayBest headphones, or cans, I have ever owned. I used to use Beats studio 2.0’s for the past 5 years for music/gaming. These do not compare.

> 3 dayAbsolutely incredible. Amped well these are the most honest, enjoyable headphones Ive ever heard. The timbre is perfect. Voices and instruments sound real to a degree that impresses even those who know nothing about the headphone world. I would call them pleasantly speaker-like. Of note: Pick up the Sennheiser brand HD650 replacement cable which fits this headphone and is thicker in all meaningful ways (especially out of the earcups, where it matters most). I had a Beyerdynamic T90 headphone ($650) which I loved, but it doesnt compare to the even presentation and PRaT of this headphone. I closed my eyes while listening to Chris Jones one night and for a moment actually believed I was at a live session. I actually drifted and was confused for the barest moment when I realized I was in my own chair. This is the first time Ive ever had that sensation out of a headphone.

21-11-2024I have owned mine around 10 years and got these for a friend. They are superb. Clear, accurate, comfortable and dont cause listening fatigue.

> 3 dayCrips highs, clear voices and instruments, not overpowered lows, thats how I resume the sound performance of the very amazing HD 600. The only drawback for me is the pale esthetic of the cans, otherwise I would have given all 5 stars.

> 3 dayNon per tutti, ovvero dotata di una coerenza timbrica disarmante che poco si addice a chi ricerca un suono sparato anche quando il messaggio riprodotto non ne è caratterizzato.

> 3 dayAs Sennheisers past flagship headphone for many years, you can expect outstanding performance from this headphone. With a decent headphone amplifier, the HD600 is preferred by many over other headphones in higher price categories. These headphones were designed to have a flat sound signature and plays best with classical- and jazz-type music.

> 3 dayAfter vascilating over a couple of different Open circumaural cans I decided to try these. The HD600 has been around a long time and, like the energizer bunny, just can not be bested by the many new ones coming into the field. Up to this point in my long music listening career I have yet to own a set of open cans. It is evident now why the open design is revered because I now can easily find this elusive soundstage I have heard about. The imaging these cans have is like lifting a blanket from the music. The effect is slight but noticable. As for the sound the mid-range is wonderful. I have heard things that were hidden before with other cans and discover new music each time I use them. The so-called Sennheiser veil may indeed exist but I think this description is one that ignores the control the HD600 has over the critical frequencies. The highs are well extended without being overly bright while the lows are exactly right to my old ears - tight and not boomy (these are not Beats!). To summarize, lows, mids, and highs are wonderfully matched, none over powers the others. These are non-fatiguing headphones and easy to listen to and wear from the first minute well into the subsequent hours if you choose to wear for long listening sessions. I chose these over others in their class because of price ($400) and now I will have to save for another pair of open cans (perhaps LCD 2 or HD800) to capture more of the music in and around my head. I am so glad I finally went to open phones for my home use and the HD600 was an excellent start. I see myself coming back to these regardless of any others I may purchase in the future.

> 3 dayHow do I know that these cans are working properly? Music definitely sounds very good, but my comparable are a pair of 10 year old computer speakers so my reference point is biased. Also, I dont have an amp, so Im not sure how much of this is due to the headphones, or not even power being driven thru by my computer.

18-11-2024I had a set of Sennheiser 590 headphones for years, until an internal wire let go and killed one channel. I saw so many positive reviews of theses headphones and got such a sweet deal on Amazon that I just had to try them. They are comfortable in the extreme. And the sound is rich and very satisfying for hours on end. For the first time, I find that I am satisfied to listen to headphones instead of my speakers. They are open backed, so when my wife is clunking around in the kitchen I have to switch to my closed backed Beyerdynamics. Otherwise, these get the nod.

> 3 dayThe headphones are very good, the sound is detailed, relaxed and being an open design very expansive. The open design does mean anyone else in the environment hears what you are listening to.
