> 24 hourIve had my HD 650s for three years. I listen to them mostly with an iPhone, which about half the time is with a $150 Fiio headphone amp and the rest of the time with no headphone amp. I also use them with my California Audio Labs CD player and my Linn Majik integrated amp.

> 24 hourI have had these headphones for years now. They sound perfect. Perfect. I still have some old Sennheisers and I used to have Bose and Beats. These sound best of all of them. The Bose were pretty close to these, but I think the HD650s simply have better clarity and balance. An headphone amp is not necessary, but it does help.

> 24 hourWas going back and forth between these and the HD600’s. These have a slightly mellower sound on the upper end. Easier to listen to over longer periods in my opinion. The HD600’s were very bright on the upper end, wore me out.

> 24 hourTout ce qui est décrit dans la notice au sujet de ce casque est justifié. Jen ai essayé des casques! Jai un grado 4x plus cher! Il est bon, mais il fait ressortir tous les défauts denregistrement ce qui le rend un peu fatiguant. Mais rien de tel avec le Sennheiser - HD650. Il respecte la sonorité des instruments, il est très présent, ne fatigue pas et nest pas agressif. Je pense que cest largement le meilleur casque surtout à ce prix.

> 24 hourI was initially quite impressed with the robust sound. They really create a very full and thick sound, with powerful bass. Then as the initial impression wore off and I made a more careful comparison I was quite disappointed. I have Bowers and Wilkins P7s and bought these thinking I would be getting a better (i.e., bigger sound stage) headphone. They are open back and thus a wider sound stage was expected. But then I listened very carefully. I listened to the first 90 seconds of: 1) Pink Floyd Poles Apart form Division Bell (96/24 HD Tracks download), 2) Pink Floyd Hey You from The Wall 2011 Remaster (44/16 AIFF CD rip), 3, Vivaldi Four Seasons (44/16 AIFF CD Rip of Salvatores SACD), 4) Metallicas Nothin Else Matters (44/15 AIFF CD rip), and 5) Lana Del Rey Ride from Paradise (44/16 AIFF CD rip). With each of the above I experienced the same results: Bowers and Wilkins P7 had more detail, more instrument separation, and the notes on the guitar hung on like real life. With the HD 650s the notes were a bit chopped off as if someone put a dampener on them. The sound was overall a bit more muffled and the there was a lot of emphasis on the bass and midrange. Furthermore, the P7s dont require much power form the Amp. The HD650s needed to be at full volume on the headphone amp. With the P7s I could listen for a long time. With the Hd65s I could already feel my mind tiring from the more muffled sound and my head was feeling more heavy (they are heavier headphones). All in all I enjoyed the P7s more (easier on the head, more detail in the highs, and a musical experience that came closer to studio or live). These are likely being returned. I am unimpressed.

> 24 hourHD650 - Absolutely beautiful right out of the box. Plugged it into my iPhone XR with a 3.5mm dongle and she just screams! No amp needed. Nothing but the cheap dongle. Highs are there. Mids are there. Bass is reverberating nicely. The soundstage is full broad and wonderful. Classical, rock, jazz - wow. Depth and breadth of articulation is fantastic. I can hear even the scratch of a violin bow here and the clatter of flute keys over there.
