Super headphones, even better price. Very bassy open back headphones. Be careful when matching to other components, at first they sounded very dark, with recessed trouble. I counter acted this with tweaking of the eq. They definitely need a amp to get the best out of them. All this taken into account you are awarded with a very detailed and spacious sound

If you are thinking about getting these headphones, stop thinking and just do it. One of the best for price:performance.

Ich bin nach einer längeren Test-Reise mit verschiedenen Kopfhörern schließlich beim Sennheiser HD 650 gelandet und werde dort auch bleiben. Er hat sich gegen AKG 812 Pro, AKG 702 Pro, Beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro, Beyerdynamic T90, Oppo PM3 und B&O H6 durchgesetzt.

I will not suggest that Ive auditioned every other headset in existence. I will instead suggest that as far as headphones go, HD 650s represent a glass ceiling for how good head-based audio can sound. Combined with a Xonar Essence, these cans will give simultaneously emit a warm soundstage and every environmental/digital artifact of whatever media you choose, regardless of quality.

I love these, they sound great, are super comfortable, and make long listening sessions and absolute joy.

Im baffled with the excessive price tag on this set. I dont know if I got fakes or if this is what passes for quality now days? Extremely cheaply made, from what I can tell early on, something Id expect a 60$ pair of headphones to feel like. They sound empty and dead. No clarity whatsoever, no stereo spacing, no bass representation at all, and tons of flopping and distortion where it doesnt belong. These are actually worse than the temporary set I was using while saving up.. :S

Hi bought these for my husband back in June for his birthday. After allowing the initial burn in of more than the recommended hours, my husband was very disappointed. After reading rave reviews, we both wondered what was going on and if we were missing something. Turned out these are a default pair. Muffled left ear not working properly at all and sound was terrible. It was a relief to get them of the ears. Not a pleasurable experience to listen to at all. Emailed Amazon and explained the problems. They quickly and very efficiently sent me out a replacement pair, which are currently burning in now. Am hoping this pair will be working correctly and hope to have that amazing sound quality.

I have hearing in one ear only so I cannot comment on refined aspects of sound quality ; these phones sound good to my one hearing ear and I greatly appreciate the ability to hear the doorbell, etc.
