These are so mediocre, I honestly thought they were broken. 400$? I wouldn’t pay more than 100 for these things. My iPhone earbuds sound better

The HD650 is a superb headphone. Unfortunately,someone complain about quality of sound.

With out a dough one of the best sounding headphones in that price range.

Trotz der vielen Hinweise auf die fehlende Polsterung am Bügel und der damit einhergehenden Schmerzen habe ich mich für den Kauf entschieden. Klanglich 1A und obwohl ich die Kopfhörer hauptsächlich für längere Flug- und Bahnreisen gekauft habe, trage ich sie nun fast täglich auf dem Weg zur Arbeit.

I used to own the akg k702s, which were great headphones in their own way, but because I always felt like there was something lacking when listening to rock music, i sold those. after listening to these, i wonder why I didnt just buy these first. they might not be as great as the akgs for classical orchestral music, but theyre very well rounded and suitable for every type of music out there. plus, theyre much more comfortable than the akgs (the headband nub pressed into my scalp with the akgs).

Wow! These things are so transparent, without at all sounding dull! Nice, spacious soundstage, and very respectable bass response, especially given their open-back design. I use Sonarworks Reference 4 to EQ my headphones and monitors to a flat sound, but I’m perfectly happy using the HD 650 with my portable player without any correction. I don’t have a perfect ear, by any stretch, but I’m pretty picky. If you want to hear your music the way it mixed in the studio, I haven’t found anything better... especially in this price range!

Light and great sounding. Need lots of power.

These are well worth the money. I checked many reviews before settling on Sennheiser 650, and Im really happy with the choice. Rich sound, comfortable fit. Note that because they are open back, they do release some sound into the environment so they would not be good for using in a library or other very quiet place.
