Sennheiser HD 650 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

Really Awesome

Ive had these for over seven years now, and no other headphones Ive bought have ever phased them out of rotation. Yes theyre wired only, no, they dont have any degree of noise-canceling, they are wide open and anyone in the room will hear what youre listening too. I hugely prefer the open-backed sound and comfort, as your ears dont get hot like closed sets, and it doesnt sound so claustrophobic. Many people that listen to a good set of open backed headphones the first time will quickly take them off for a few seconds because they dont believe the sound is coming from the headphones rather than speakers. Theyre very lightweight, and dont clamp too much, so even my big head is comfortable in them for hours.

Like a bad habit, i keep coming back to these! Think i have bought and sold 4 of these!

Great headphone for mixing. You sure can count on it for most part of your mix. Its also comfortable for long periods of usage.

Echo most of the positive comments in other reviews. Wonderful sound overall...I find them neutral, which can sound a bit dead to some, especially if youre used to colorful speakers. They need a fairly powerful headphone amp if you want the best sound - your portable iPod probably isnt up to the task unassisted. Like many fine speakers, I find they needed a good 8-10 hours of listening to fully break in. The semi-open air design lets you hear whats going on around you, which I like but its not the usual dead zone you get from sealed earcups. Finally, I find the fit slightly snug, but not annoyingly so. Great choice overall.

Edit: 27.1.17: Da nun schon zum zweiten Mal ein Lautsprecher teilweise defekt ist, 2 Sterne Abzug. Ich hätte doch ein etwas beständigeres Produkt erwartet.

Après avoir hésité longuement entre le Senheiser et lAKG, (voir les autres commentaires des clients sur les 2 casques) jai opté pour le premier. Jai eu les 2 marques de casques plus anciens et je dois dire que cest vraiment une affaire de goût ! Ce qui ma fait opter pour le Senheiser ce sont les 2 fils du casque car même si un seul semble plus pratique, il existe sur les deux la même difficulté et la même fragilité en cas de panne... Au niveau du cerceau. Au niveau de la qualité découte à mon sens ils se valent tous les deux, là encore cest une affaire de goût et doreille. Personnellement je nécoute que du classique symphonique et opéras et jy trouve parfaitement ce que je veux entendre, tant au niveau des voix que des instruments dans les basses comme dans les aigus. Ce sont des casques et non des enceintes. Achat parfait et merci encore une fois à Amazon pour sa diligence dans la livraison.
