> 24 hourI was so ready to absolutely love this vacuum and mop combo robot. I am a little disappointed. The vacuum and mopping the robot actually did was adequate. It vacuumed very well and mopped adequately for in between deep cleaning. In order to use the mop feature you have to designate carpet areas. I have area rugs in the kitchen and the living room. The carpet area zone feature would not let me designate a small and precise enough area for the rug so I ended up folding the rugs up and putting them in a chair or couch. This is not practical for every day usage so I will end up using the vacuum only function much of the time. This makes me really sad since the vacuum mop function was the main reason for the purchase. Another issue was I requested the robot to clean the entire house. It cleaned about a third of the area, went back to base and declared the job complete. I thought maybe it had gone back to base to chare but the battery was still at 40%. I waited a little while for the battery to charge completely and again requested a entire house clean. This time it cleaned about 40% of the requested area. My house still has not been completely vacuumed or mopped after two requests.

> 24 hourThe technology is amazing but I find the programming non-intuitive. Trying to map out the carpeted areas so that the moping function wont reach it is impossible. Naming the room is also another chore. Most irritating is that the price has dropped another $50 since I bought it less than 3 weeks ago and I have yet been able to test its full function since I will need my daughters help to program it. Wondering if I should return it and get a replacement for $50 less.

> 24 hourI researched and studied and tossed it back and forth in my mind forever….. and now I feel stupid because this f’n thing is amazing! I have a dog and a cat and Steve (I named it Steve) has gobbled up every strand of fur there is. There is also something incredible about the carpet ALWAYS having nice straight clean vacuum lines! I’ve already bought another one for my downstairs! One will do both levels but I’m too lazy to carry it.

> 24 hourWe have messy kids and a sweet dog that sheds constantly. This robot vacuum keeps our floors virtually fur and debris free. It does a great job navigating obstacles and even cleans well around our kitchen table and chairs. It does take several hours to complete its cleaning of about 1200 square feet and needs a ~2 hour recharging break in the middle. It works well on rugs, carpets and bare floors. The AI and obstacle learning is surprisingly sophisticated. One of our kids feeds it scraps of paper occasionally and tells the vacuum that it is doing a great job so you can thank her for staving off the coming AI takeover (just kidding). This vacuum is amazing.

> 24 hourThis robot vac is amazing! I have tried other brands and this has surpassed them all for me. I read some of the other reviews and honestly they sound more like user error than product error. I‘be had mine for almost 2 years and have had zero glitching with the app unless it was because my WiFi went out so it logged me out of the app. But, it never deleted my map or anything like that. Also, one review said they couldn’t get parts; well you absolutely can. Maybe not direct from the manufacturer but there’s a multitude of different companies selling replacement parts on Amazon. I say get it! It makes cleaning so much easier, especially if you have kids or fur babies! I couldn’t use mine for a week while I waited for my replacement parts to get delivered and it really made me appreciate how much work it takes off my hands m, because I was seriously struggling to keep my 5000 square feet of living space feeling and looking clean.

> 24 hourIve been using our Shark AV2501AE for a little over a year. My home is mostly hard wood floors, with one carpeted bedroom. While it seems to clean very well on the carpet, it needs to be put into maximum suction mode to be very effective on the wood floors. This causes the battery to deplete faster which usually requires it have to return to charge before finishing all the rooms. I should also note that it makes fairly slow progression from room to room. If youre not home while its working, it wont bother you. I work from home, so I notice how long it takes. In our home, the first floor is around 1,800 sq/ft. It makes two trips with a charge in between. The total time vacuuming is around 2 hours. Here are the pros/cons that Ive experienced: PROS It attempts to get every inch of floor, so its pretty thorough when it works. You dont have to vacuum yourself. Self-emptying bin at the base is great! Bin is easy to empty as well. CONS The app has frequently lost the map of the floorplan, the room border designations or both (customer service had me factory reset the vacuum and reinstall app, but it still happens). It isnt able to clean corners very well or wall edges that have cabinet overhangs. It frequently gets stuck and needs assistance to keep moving. Sometimes it leaves random areas of rooms uncleaned. It picks up hair it gets wound around the spinning brush. You have to unscrew the cover plate and remove the hair from the end of the cylinder brush where it builds up (just human hair here - no pets) I end up using a broom to pull out debris from hard to reach corners and under cabinet edges so the Shark can vacuum them. I also move rugs and obstacles out of the way so that it wont snag on them or get turned around and lose track of where it is. If I wasnt here at the house to baby it, it would be very frustrating. The sad truth is that if I just swept and vacuumed myself, I would finish in less than half the time this Shark takes. If you want something you can just schedule to vacuum and forget while youre at work, I would look elsewhere.

> 24 hourI bought a rumba 03+ I had nothing but trouble with it. So I bought the shark and it’s been just a fabulous machine. It’s very reliable. It does a good job and I’ve had no problem with it too. I would recommend it to anyone who never wants to push The vacuum around their house again

> 24 hourYou can only program one floor. I have a sunken living room and I can’t add that room to the house. Otherwise it works well, although it would be nice if you could steer it with the app.

> 24 hourWe have a complicated house layout and the RV2501SE AI Series Robot did a pretty good job of mapping on the first pass. It does a number of things better than the previous RV100AE (renewed) we purchased on Amazon and subsequently returned. The RV2501SE is more thorough in its coverage, has longer battery life, better self-cleaning performance, is less spastic in working around obstacles and in short, does a better all around job. It has one shortcoming however, a feature I really liked on the RV100AE. It wont respond to the magnetic boundary strips which I previously used to block off areas I dont want the robot to cross. On this model, Shark wants you to use their No-Go Zones. I just want to establish a line not to cross, not set up an area to stay out of. For example, I want the robot to avoid cables on the carpet along the wall in my office. A No-Go Zone requires establishing a square or rectangular box which cannot be manipulated into just a straight line, so you wind up specifying a lot more carpet to be skipped vs laying a magnetic boundary strip down and the robot will simply not crossing it. I really am disappointed by Shark omitting this simple feature on this model (and perhaps on all AI models).
