What a Gem!
> 3 daySo I was told by several people how much they loved their robotic vacuums. I had a hard time believing they were that great. Ive been using an ancient rainbow vacuum which works great for my chocolate labs hair which is everywhere. But its a pain to take out and fill up with water and then empty. Which I did almost every day. So I finally broke down and we bought this one and oh how wonderful it works! I cannot believe how much human hair and dog hair it picks up. The self-emptying into the base is so cool! I empty the base about once a week to 10 days and its full! The mop does a fair job but its not like getting down on your hands and knees and scrubbing. But its great for just everyday touch ups. The Ultra clean is awesome as well. Im glad I went with this one and spent the extra money. The ability to start it up on an app when we are away from home is awesome. Its so cool to come home to freshly vacuumed carpets. It feels like a cleaning lady was in the house. :) We have it scheduled daily to start up at 7:00 a.m. Our dog just ignores it and walks away from it. Hes not frightened by it nor does it want to mess with it. Super satisfied!

> 3 dayI’ve tried several different robot vacuums and the sharks are by far the best. Love that they go back and forth vs every which way. Self emptying is a great feature. I have one upstairs and one downstairs.

> 3 dayI researched and studied and tossed it back and forth in my mind forever….. and now I feel stupid because this f’n thing is amazing! I have a dog and a cat and Steve (I named it Steve) has gobbled up every strand of fur there is. There is also something incredible about the carpet ALWAYS having nice straight clean vacuum lines! I’ve already bought another one for my downstairs! One will do both levels but I’m too lazy to carry it.

> 3 dayVacuum works well. Cleans as well if not better than any manual vacuum we have owned. Still a challenge to handle all the pet hair but this is not a surprise given all the fur my dog puts out. Mop feature works well with good cleaner.

> 3 dayGreat for hard floors, kinda iffy on our low pile rug. We bought it to reduce the sweeping and vacuuming needed on our hard floors so its performing as we need it to. We have a 5yr old boy and a dalmatian so dirt and dog hair are forever on our floors. The tank says it can hold 45-60 days of debris but we can only get 7 days out of it. I guess that shows how much its really working. As per other reviews, it does get a lot of scratches. I even put felt furniture bumpers on it to prevent the majority of them but its still somehow managing to look like its 2 years old after a month of use. All in all it does what I need it to and I would recommend it to a friend or family member based on its current performance.

> 3 dayThis is our third robovac, and the second model from Shark. The laser navigation is great because you can run it at night in a dark room. The app is better than once was. The self emptying option is great. But the vacuum itself get stuck on everything and then stops. It gets stuck on inward and outward facing corners, all types of chair legs, bookshelves, even straight sections of wall, and on edge of the straits where there is a “no go” zone set. Then you got to go find it…. Fortunately it will emit distress sound. Unfortunately, the battery will die and by the time you get home from work, it is dead in some corner somewhere. So you find it, put it on the charger and try again when it completely recharges tomorrow—when it will get stuck yet again). I can understand if a vacuum gets stuck on a rug, or a charging cable left lying in the ground, or a sock someone left under the bed, but chair legs, straight walls, wall corners that stuck out into a wide open room, that seems like it is failing a really basic task of a robot vacuum. I run it most days and roughly 60% of the time, it fails to complete its cleaning for the day because it vacuum next to a wall and somehow managed to get stuck. I rate it 2 stars. The app I’d give a 4 stars… the auto emptying I’d give 4.5 but this robot fails in the most basic sense of navigation failing leading to failure to complete clean cycles. 2 stars.

03-06-2025As others have stated, I have a German shepherd and have a shark vac for pets but this is daily chore. Since my 2 uprights are bagless and no-tangle Brushroll I thought Id try this av2501ae after a LOT of research. I had a blind eufy that when it didnt get stuck really helped with pet hair but required daily cleaning and Brushroll detangling. I have used this for several cleans and no hair tangles and it says 60 days but at first it filled 1/4 on one clean. Using daily has brought it to 7 days to fill. Pros- gets up all the hair/dirt and I have not had to vacuum since, 10 days so far. Covers everything after it mapped the house. Ignored the 3 ft on either side and 5 ft in front and placed the unit under an end table next to the couch out of sight, mainly since my dog kept stepping on the old eufy. Has worked fine there and always finds it way home. It is doing its job as expected. Rarely bumps into anything but sometimes seems like its a little lost but always does what advertised. May be my crappy internet..App has been no problem. I like that I can send it to any room/rooms, or whole house. It has a little trouble getting over wood strip between hard wood and tile but keeps trying and gets over it and keeps going where it was supposed to go. Has not gotten stuck since no -go set properly. Cons- took 2 times to map correctly and took some trial and error to set no-go zones, but once I got it, it works perfectly. Should probably remap one more time. The roller seemed to get a little louder BUT ordered non-oem replacement filters and brush roll on amazon and that roller is cleaning as good as factory and much more quiet. Cant verify its durabilty but for the price, who cares. Its taller than my eufy so it will not go under my couch but as great as it cleans, Ill move the couch. Besides, running this daily, pet hair and dust under controll, have only moved the couch once in 10 days with a 10th of the usual dust and hair. Glad I upgraded to a lidar vacuum and I dont care that I cant watch it progress real-time as others have knocked it for. I can hear where it is and takes 20 min per room and does 1000sq ft in 45 min of hardwood and tile. Unless you are anal retentive it works advertised and CLEANS..

> 3 dayHaving a boxer puppy this vacuum changed the game forever. This thing gets under most of the furniture and beds. It’s a refreshing feeling to walk around your apt with the floors being crispy clean.

> 3 dayI was so ready to absolutely love this vacuum and mop combo robot. I am a little disappointed. The vacuum and mopping the robot actually did was adequate. It vacuumed very well and mopped adequately for in between deep cleaning. In order to use the mop feature you have to designate carpet areas. I have area rugs in the kitchen and the living room. The carpet area zone feature would not let me designate a small and precise enough area for the rug so I ended up folding the rugs up and putting them in a chair or couch. This is not practical for every day usage so I will end up using the vacuum only function much of the time. This makes me really sad since the vacuum mop function was the main reason for the purchase. Another issue was I requested the robot to clean the entire house. It cleaned about a third of the area, went back to base and declared the job complete. I thought maybe it had gone back to base to chare but the battery was still at 40%. I waited a little while for the battery to charge completely and again requested a entire house clean. This time it cleaned about 40% of the requested area. My house still has not been completely vacuumed or mopped after two requests.

Greater than one weekFor the price and the reviews I expected a lot more from this bot. There are almost no directions with it. It only maps one floor. So probably works great if you have only one floor. But if you have more than one floor what customer service told me is you have to turn the machine off, carry it to new floor, and start it not from the app (or it will mess up your map), but just push the clean button. Then on any other floor but the main one it is not a smart robot. It just bounces around randomly until it decides it is done cleaning and then stops and says it cant find its base. In my experience of almost a month it misses entire rooms. I would rather have a robot without the self empty base that is smart no matter where you put it and cleans the whole house. I had a Neato D85 for years before this and it did that. No app, no mapping, but who cares? What I care about is my house getting clean and this bot is not doing it. Have two more days to return, but I got it on sale and cant afford the one I really want- Roomba i7+.
