Not easy to use, doesn’t pick up cat litter and hair, won’t connect to Wi-Fi, and dreadful customer service will sum up this review. I loved this vacuum the 1st week I owned it. We share our home with 4 cats so there’s some hair to be dealt with. I was excited about something to keep up with the fur in between my being able to run the “real” vacuum. Week 1 it appeared to do a good job. After that is when the major issue started. The fatal flaw is that hair not only get caught in the brush roller but it also gets caught up in the side of the roller where it attaches. This causes the vacuum to become inoperable until you do something about it. You end up spending a good 10-15 minutes with tweezers and scissors trying to perform minor surgery and remove the wad of hair to free up the roller. (In this amount of time I could have already done 1 room of my house). That’s problem #1. The other major problem is the absolutely horrible customer service they provide. The manual that comes with this is a joke. It basically tells you how to set it on the floor and turn it on which is self explanatory and could be done by my dumbest cat. There is zero information about connecting to Wi-Fi or this type of troubleshooting. When trying to use the app to pair nothing happens. I have tried 8 times. I have used the recommended 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and even tried 5GHz. NOTHING!!! My phone is updated to the latest software version so there should be no reason for this malfunction. I called customer service and read every number off the bottom of the vacuum plus gave a ton more info to a man who said he was transferring me to a service agent who could fix the problem and I would not have to repeat the info I had just provided. I waited on hold for 15 min, (after 3 minutes the “hold music” went dead) and no one picked up. I was concerned my call was sent to someone in a black hole so I hung up and called back. I then had the displeasure of speaking to a lady who had the I.Q. of a carrot and the customer service skills of a honey badger!! She started asking for all of the numbers for the vacuum and I explained to her I’ve already provided this and was just trying to be transferred. She continued to tell me there was no one to transfer me to. She then tried to help and her advice was to do everything that I’ve already done 8 times all over again. (Because the 9th time is the charm???) When I explained to her again that I have already done this 8 times and I’m calling for a different suggestion and some troubleshooting she then told me to turn everything off and back on again. I was aggravated and told her this has to be done to restart the process and again I’ve done this 8 times. She then told me to restart the Wi-Fi. I explained to her everything else was working fine with the Wi-Fi and since I tried to pair it right after it was installed this week and it continued to do the same thing I know that’s not it. She then told me if I wasn’t willing to do what she was telling me she would have to escalate my case and someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I asked to be transferred to someone else and she said “there is no one else, you have me now”. The app also has conflicting information about how to use the Wi-Fi feature. I have waisted hours trying to make this thing work. The time you put into trying to fix/figure out software issues and picking hair out you could have vacuumed your house. DONT BUY!!!

I was so excited to finally have a self vacuum. I have two dogs. We ordered our first one. My husband programmed it and off it went. It would sit in one place and just spin. I know it has to map out your house, but I didnt think it had to do this every time we used it. It is also quite loud. After using it 4 or 5 times, we decided it was probably a defective product. We sent it back for an exchange. Went through the same process when we received the new one. It still seems to be confused. We have tile and wood flooring. I pick up anything on the floor, other than furniture. Surprisingly, the dogs could not care less. They just lay in their bed and watch. It will still spin in one place 4-5 times, on multiple occasions of cleaning. I dont know if this is normal. I do know it uses up a lot of battery time by doing this. Im still doing research. We may send it back and try a different brand. I hate having to do this because it does pick up fairly well. It just takes so long to clean a one story, tile and wood, (no rugs, carpet, or other objects in the way). With that being said, I wonder how long its life expectancy will be. We paid a lot for it. I would be pretty upset if it died in a year. I own a Shark Cordless, Bagless hand held. It came with two rechargeable batteries. I can vacuum the entire house without using all of one battery. Ive had that vacuum for 3 years. It has been used almost daily. I believe the motor may be getting ready to die. But, it has been a fabulous vacuum. Ill be looking for another one of those. If anyone has any input on the Shark Robot or another brand, please share. I really do want to love her, but I need to know she wont die in a year!

Maps out all the rooms so you can select certain areas to be cleaned. Really does a great job of cleaning with no tangles in the roller so far. 1 week

I bought a rumba 03+ I had nothing but trouble with it. So I bought the shark and it’s been just a fabulous machine. It’s very reliable. It does a good job and I’ve had no problem with it too. I would recommend it to anyone who never wants to push The vacuum around their house again

I upgraded from my iRobot about a week ago. There wasnt really anything wrong, per se, with that device, but I wasnt happy with its cleaning. I got a puppy about 3 months ago, and the iRobot just didnt do a good job of sucking up the hair. Well, after a week of using the Shark AI robot vacuum, I am impressed. Daily!! It was super easy to set up. And the mapping function is amazing. Initially I was going to run it every other day, but seeing how much it picks up daily, I will be using it Monday-Friday!! The dust bin is supposed to be a 60 day capacity, but, with how much it does pick up, I have to empty it every other day!! The noise factor. Its much quieter than a standard vacuum!! The loudest part is when it empties the cup into the dust bin which only lasts for about 10-15 seconds. I love that I could set it to clean and empty every 30 minutes and resume where it left off. I also love that I could set it to recharge and resume when the battery is low. Which brings me to the battery. I get about 1hr of cleaning on a full charge. But, I do have it set to max cleaning, which will use more battery. But, since it will recharge and resume, I do not have to think about a thing!! The spot clean is great for those quick messes!! Using the map it created, I can send Sharkira (the name I chose for it) to that spot, she cleans and goes right back to the dock. I was able to set high traffic zones to send Sharkira to those areas to do Ultra cleaning if needed!! It also provides the option to do specific rooms if needed. All in all, this is a 5 star unit!!! Next upgrade, I will be adding the unit that also does mopping!! Hope this review helps your decision to purchase this Shark AI robot vacuum!!

Prior to this one, I had an off brand robot that never truly mapped my house after the first time. I hesitated in getting another one but with cats, I needed something. I seen great reviews. I have used it now 3 times and it’s mapped my house and vacuumed everywhere with no issues. It does miss some of the cat litter But otherwise it’s great. It definitely decreases the time I spend cleaning the floors.

When I first got it, the option to have it dock after 30 mins of cleaning was on and it was taking almost a full day to clean my 1900 sq ft home between cleaning and charging. In fact, I was in the process of returning it because of this. However, once I realized what the issue was and shut it off, it was better. Even still, it will only clean about an hour before the battery runs low and it has to dock. After an hour of charging, it will then will start again and finish the rest of my house in the next hour. I still dont get the inefficient cleaning pattern it chooses because it will clean one room then all of a sudden go across my house to clean another room only to have to make a bee-line back to the first room to finish. I used to have another unknown brand that I loved but it was damaged by a dog toy that clogged the roller and damaged the part that holds and spins the roller. After about a month of research and comparison shopping, I chose this model based on the reviews and the features it had. It does a good job and eventually it will clean the house over a 3 hour period - so its good for now. Pros: - Good suction - does well with pet hair; I have 3 dogs and a cat - The self-empty feature is really good and not as noisy as others while emptying - It does eventually clean every area of my house, well - Back and forth cleaning pattern vs. bump and go - Always finds its way back to the docking station - Handles all my rugs well without getting stuck, dragging them or folding them over. Cons: - Battery life stinks - App is terrible - I have to log in each time I open it. Plus, it does not show you real-time information - it is only available after it docks.

I was so ready to absolutely love this vacuum and mop combo robot. I am a little disappointed. The vacuum and mopping the robot actually did was adequate. It vacuumed very well and mopped adequately for in between deep cleaning. In order to use the mop feature you have to designate carpet areas. I have area rugs in the kitchen and the living room. The carpet area zone feature would not let me designate a small and precise enough area for the rug so I ended up folding the rugs up and putting them in a chair or couch. This is not practical for every day usage so I will end up using the vacuum only function much of the time. This makes me really sad since the vacuum mop function was the main reason for the purchase. Another issue was I requested the robot to clean the entire house. It cleaned about a third of the area, went back to base and declared the job complete. I thought maybe it had gone back to base to chare but the battery was still at 40%. I waited a little while for the battery to charge completely and again requested a entire house clean. This time it cleaned about 40% of the requested area. My house still has not been completely vacuumed or mopped after two requests.

I dont know what i did before we had Carl. Carl has become part of our house, one dog dont care, the other dog runs away from it, and the cat attacks it, but even after all of that torment Carl sucks it up and keeps cleaning. Sometimes Carl gets a little drunk and runs in circles, but for the most part does an amazing job at tracking its routes and cleaning in an efficient manner.
