> 3 dayWe have a complicated house layout and the RV2501SE AI Series Robot did a pretty good job of mapping on the first pass. It does a number of things better than the previous RV100AE (renewed) we purchased on Amazon and subsequently returned. The RV2501SE is more thorough in its coverage, has longer battery life, better self-cleaning performance, is less spastic in working around obstacles and in short, does a better all around job. It has one shortcoming however, a feature I really liked on the RV100AE. It wont respond to the magnetic boundary strips which I previously used to block off areas I dont want the robot to cross. On this model, Shark wants you to use their No-Go Zones. I just want to establish a line not to cross, not set up an area to stay out of. For example, I want the robot to avoid cables on the carpet along the wall in my office. A No-Go Zone requires establishing a square or rectangular box which cannot be manipulated into just a straight line, so you wind up specifying a lot more carpet to be skipped vs laying a magnetic boundary strip down and the robot will simply not crossing it. I really am disappointed by Shark omitting this simple feature on this model (and perhaps on all AI models).

> 3 dayI’ve only had it for a few hours so I’ll only put 4 stars until I’ve had it longer and can better vouch for it but… I love it!! It’s amazing. As a working mom with a toddler, dog and spouse gone, it’s amazing to have this one thing off my plate and it makes me feel better about the condition the house is in every day. It’s gone over one small toy (a wooden shape) and made sound and just left it behind but I’m sure I’ll run into more issues in the future but I only expect so much out of it. It’s fairly quiet and I went over the area I did a test spot cleaning on with my dyson and didn’t really pick anything up. For something with this much function and so small I’m impressed.

19-11-2024The robot vacuum works well enough however I am underwhelmed with its ability to maneuver obstacles and it sees intake vents on the floor as cliffs and gets stuck (I had to make no-go zone around the vent). It also gets stuck on the objects on the floor that it should maneuver around. We like to schedule it to run at night but most nights it cant complete its run and we have a very obstacle free house. But the app is beyond bad. The history randomly wont show the map so I dont know where it has cleaned, you can only schedule once a day, and the notifications really dont tell me much (they seriously say the word cliff). This is my first experience with robot cleaners so maybe my expectation is too high but I am underwhelmed at best! But I am tempted to return it and see if the iRobot is just a better product.

> 3 dayI have two of these that I’ve been using for a few months now, and they work pretty well for the most part. The initial set up was easy and it created a pretty accurate map from the start. The app is also intuitive and easy to use. The robots themselves navigate well and rarely get stuck. The self emptying base is also pretty nice and I like that it doesnt need bags. They follow the set schedules quite well too. Some things could be better unfortunately. The actual suction power on the bots doesn’t seem to be enough, and the dust filters on the bots get clogged very fast even with it set to empty the dustbin every 30mins. If I don’t clean the filters every 2-3 runs the bots lose suction completely which isn’t ideal. The no-go zones don’t seem to work too well either. The bots only respect the no-go zones on some runs but not all. They also seem to disregard them when they are navigating to new areas. For example if I tell it to do a spot clean somewhere and there is a no-go zone in the way, they often just run straight through the no-go zone on the way to the designated spot clean area. It will then respect the no-go zone while cleaning, but on the way back to the base it will just run straight through it again. Over all the no-go zones are just very inconsistent, which makes it hard to keep them out of trouble spots. Overall I think they are decent, when they are on sale they are a pretty good deal. I just wish the no-go zones worked properly.

> 3 dayI have a none LIDAR-radar one, all my baseboards have black marks.. this wont touch them.. also. when doing the mapping. remove everything. the is 6 inch or lower to the ground, it will see it. push bigger stuff around before it gets there if you dont want it mapped. i could not move my couch or love seat. so i got progress soup can and put the legs on them.. it mapped out the whole house perfectly. it too 7-8 trsy to see what i was doing wrong. walk with it and move stuff before it gets there. if it goes under furniture and see something hanging it will stop and turn.. the beam on the top mount only see what is directly in front of it when working.. mapping it sees 3 to 4 inches higher. i have many cats so i need it to go everywhere. The best thing is you can square off every room/area and they give you a name list to choose from. you can do the whole house of just the Foyer and back bedroom.. If it misses something there is a spot clean and you move the little square on you house map and it will go there. my older one had clue where to go. when here then way over there? no brains, this pots like mowing your lawn back and forth. if it sees something that appears in from of it , it wont bump it but go around it, so if you ad chairs.. it will go around it till it ti moved. Also, mapping does not pick up table legs or chair legs. i hope this helps. you.

Greater than one weekThe picture posted is the one and only time this unit has been stuck and it has never gotten stuck there again. This cleans 200x better than my Eufy 30c. The self emptying feature is wonderful, I don’t know how I lived without it. With two dogs in the house, this unit is a must! I was really surprised with how clean the floors looked after the mopping feature as well. I am so glad I got this unit on sale because it is a life saver! Better than any Rumba or Eufy I have owned.

> 3 dayHave owned a self emptying Shark robot vacuum for a few years. Previous robot started having issues and was offered a discount on same model (warranty had expired). Great customer service experience with Shark. Decided to upgrade to this model with AI. Couldnt be happier with performance. Superior mapping and matrix cleaning technology has helped keep our house with 2 large dogs, and a 2 year old much cleaner than before.

Greater than one weekMy new Shark, Roberto, saves me a lot of time! While he is cleaning, I can do other things! The mapping was easy and he seems to get more thorough each time he cleans. I love the hepa filter as we have bad allergies and this is helping eliminate dust. Also love that he empties himself!! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayThis little guy is so great. It was easy to set up, and made a map of our main floor that was surprisingly good after just one run. The battery life is pretty decent and the suction level must be good cause he hasnt missed anything yet! He looks like a lil trilobite swimming about your home. He makes a soft whirring sound as he goes about, but I find it a pleasant sound, and its nice to know if hes coming up behind you. Hes a bit loud when empties, but it only lasts for 4 seconds so whatever. Hes only gotten stuck once in the last 6 weeks of daily use, and that was on me for leaving out small Halloween decorations on the floor. I agonized over which brand to buy, but I have loved my upright Shark vacuums in the past, and for half the price of some other brands I figured it was worth a shot. No regrets! Minor issues: For the first week, he ran himself at 3 am instead of his scheduled 9 am. That was a bit of a shock when he emptied in the dead of the night. But after resetting him to factory settings, hes agreed to clean on schedule. He did get disconnected from the internet once, but I was able to just re add him again to the app and delete the old one and everything is fine again! Lastly, it doesnt really work great with Google home, as far as voice control goes. This seems to be a Google issue rather than the robot, so maybe theyll fix that in the future. Maybe. If you went Google home instead of Alexa like your friends, you probably know exactly what Im talking about. Overall, its absolutely worth the price and Ill never go without again!

> 3 dayWe had a GOOVI brand before and it was ok for the price but it wasn’t nearly as smart as this one. The GOOVI would just bounce off things and walls sometimes bumping plants into walls and scuffing the walls. This one mapped the house pretty well. I had to kinda staple up the fabric hanging down from the couch for it to map under it but overall it’s pretty great. It knows exactly where it’s home is. The GOOVI just bounced off everything till it found it’s way. The fact that it knows when it’s full and goes back to the dock to empty is amazing. Before I would have the check the GOOVI like a baby’s diaper all the time. Overall have had it for a few days and so far so good!
