I was so ready to absolutely love this vacuum and mop combo robot. I am a little disappointed. The vacuum and mopping the robot actually did was adequate. It vacuumed very well and mopped adequately for in between deep cleaning. In order to use the mop feature you have to designate carpet areas. I have area rugs in the kitchen and the living room. The carpet area zone feature would not let me designate a small and precise enough area for the rug so I ended up folding the rugs up and putting them in a chair or couch. This is not practical for every day usage so I will end up using the vacuum only function much of the time. This makes me really sad since the vacuum mop function was the main reason for the purchase. Another issue was I requested the robot to clean the entire house. It cleaned about a third of the area, went back to base and declared the job complete. I thought maybe it had gone back to base to chare but the battery was still at 40%. I waited a little while for the battery to charge completely and again requested a entire house clean. This time it cleaned about 40% of the requested area. My house still has not been completely vacuumed or mopped after two requests.

This robot vac is amazing! I have tried other brands and this has surpassed them all for me. I read some of the other reviews and honestly they sound more like user error than product error. I‘be had mine for almost 2 years and have had zero glitching with the app unless it was because my WiFi went out so it logged me out of the app. But, it never deleted my map or anything like that. Also, one review said they couldn’t get parts; well you absolutely can. Maybe not direct from the manufacturer but there’s a multitude of different companies selling replacement parts on Amazon. I say get it! It makes cleaning so much easier, especially if you have kids or fur babies! I couldn’t use mine for a week while I waited for my replacement parts to get delivered and it really made me appreciate how much work it takes off my hands m, because I was seriously struggling to keep my 5000 square feet of living space feeling and looking clean.

I think it does a great job picking up dust and dirt, and I like the mapping system so I can do specific rooms, areas, etc. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a one-stop-shop for deep cleaning. Often in tight corners I’ll find crumbs and dust after running. And the mapping took a while to set up, and still misses a few spots when I run in certain areas. Still need a regular vaccum or duster for tighter corners

Maps easy and runs it’s course. But does nut vacuum that well leaves small bits and bugs. The Ben is only filled with dust after 3 months of use.

I bought a rumba 03+ I had nothing but trouble with it. So I bought the shark and it’s been just a fabulous machine. It’s very reliable. It does a good job and I’ve had no problem with it too. I would recommend it to anyone who never wants to push The vacuum around their house again

I purchased this on an impulse because it was on sale. I set it up and hit the clean button and it far exceeded (in a positive way) the job it did cleaning! Unfortunately it was down hill from there. The unit went back to the docking station, recharged and then had a #9 bin error. I ejected the dust bin out of the robot and replaced it and it again did a great job vacuuming but after the next recharge, same error. I called Shark customer service and here is the shot version of the drama that ensued: 1. first agent with very poor English (Ive worked extensively overseas and am usually able to understand even thick accents but this was barely comprehensible at times) sent me a link to be able to view the robot through the camera on my phone. She had me dock the unit and since it did that and started vacuuming again she declared it cured, gave me a case number, and signed off. 2. after completing the vacuuming cycle (about an hour until battery needs recharge) it recharged and same dust bin error 9 message. I called back in and got another agent with nearly incomprehensible English skills who started the same routine of diagnostic steps with me but after getting to the Im going to send you a link to access your camera so I can see the error she went radio silent, line connected but no body home. Mind you it took 15 minutes on hold to get to an agent and another 15 of diagnostics to get to this point. 1/2 hour wasted. 3. called in a 3rd time, 3rd agent I couldnt understand, and same diagnostic routine. At the 45 minute mark in the conversation she said, ok it looks like its the same as with the first agent so well need to send you a new robot. Great... I thought. She takes all my information and then says I forgot to tell you, the warranty is limited and youre responsible for the $25 shipping of the replacement! I protested, she checked with her supervisor and got the shipping waved. She then informed me that this unit is not in stock so it will be 2-3 weeks before I should expect a replacement via FedEx. The only good part of the experience is that agent 3 realized her English wasnt good so rather than try to have me spell out my address she just had me write it down on a piece of paper and point the camera on my phone at it so that she could take it down. Pretty good idea really.

It mapped my house within 2 or 3 runs. It starts up at its scheduled time and runs until depleted, charges, and then goes back out until the entire floor is done. I have 2 Huskies and this has been a lifesaver. Now, I only have to worry about the occasional corner or hard to get to areas and the couch. The only things that have stopped it so far were an errant sock and my shirt stays. I keep the floor mostly clear, but it just goes around most things when they are left around. (provided they are big enough for the sensors to detect them.) For reference, this is my 4th robot vacuum, the 3rd generation of Shark, the 2nd with self-emptying, and the 1st one Im happy with.

I had bought a similar knockoff robovac and it worked well. The problem is that we have a dog, a Corgi to be precise. She sheds like shes allergic to fur. The other vac had a tiny compartment for holding waste, the dog hair would clog it up quickly. The new one is much better. Not only can it hold more, it can empty itself. We also have the Shark NV752 Rotator upright vacuum. The combination of the two is very effective at handling pet hair. The old robovac is now cleaning my garage shop. The kind of waste it has to handle makes it well suited for the task, and I dont have to sweep the garage and laundry area out every weekend. Update - 7-3-2022. This is the second time the robot has been bumped away from its base charger. After allowing it to charge overnight it now has forgotten its Map, Rooms, and Zones. Whats the point of having this thing connect to a phone or iPad if it cant reload those things once it reconnects? It should also have a non-volatile memory on board to store that information. I also have to have an account with Shark to use the app. Apparently its just too much trouble to store the setting on the company servers. Its a tedious process having this thing explore the house again. I have to let it go everywhere in the house (in one trip) except in rooms we dont want it to go (like the bathrooms for instance). Then, I get to create the Rooms all over again and create the No-Go areas again. Overall its still worth having the vacuum, but not at its current price. You should be able to fix this issue through programming and a firmware update (if it even does that).

We have a cat and two German shepherds. This thing is a must have unless you enjoy vacuuming on a daily basis. I chose this over doing lots of research with just about every brand due to the fact that this has a bag less design. The description says 60 days without emptying the bin. That may be true for other people, but for me with our pets. I need to empty this thing between 1-2 weeks just with pet hair. If I had a model that required bags, I’d be paying the cost of this unit just in bags every year. This thing has already run through dog poop and urine. Which obviously should be avoided, but after some quick disassembly and cleaning it was back up in a few days going strong. Navigation is great and it cleans my whole first floor in about an hour. The only con for me is the app but there’s really nothing bad about it, it just could stand to have some more features. All in all this thing is great.

    Greater than one week

It’s not perfect but it’s convenient and effective. We’ve used it 5 days a week for the past few months. It does a good job of keeping the floor vacuumed and mopped. Still leaves behind some clumps of hair and the floors aren’t that clean after mopping but they are shinier. It doesn’t have an indicator/sensor for the dust bin which can be clogged with the hair from our two cats. The dust bin and associated filter attached to the robot needs cleaned out at least weekly and it’s the same for the dock’s bin. I can’t imagine leaving this unattended for 30-60 days as advertised. Cleaning out the robot’s dust bin is annoying because I always feel like I’m going to break the small plastic clamps. The app is functional and has gotten better in the time I’ve had it. It’s easy to schedule the robot for cleaning and to access the history. I was happy to see they added a map of the cleaning history. It doesn’t allow me to invite others to “household” in the app so we have to share a login. The app also restricts you to one map meaning some setting are restricted if you want to use it on another floor. When I want to use it on another floor I place the robot on the dock, turn it off, take it to an open corner in the area I want cleaned, turn it on, then press clean. Despite the shortcomings I would but it again.
