> 3 dayThese switches MUST BE WIRED EXACTLY AS THE PICTURES SHOW in the instructions. Most standard light switches are NOT wired as these require. You MUST have a white neutral, black hot in and black load wire to get them to even turn on. The instructions are very clear and as long as you can find all of the wires in the wall and add a jumper to the switch, you can complete the job. Wi-Fi requires 2.4 GHz, and does not support 5.0. Considering the amount of data sent to and from the switch and that 2.4 penetrates walls better, this is preferred. Ensure you are searching for and trying to connect to a 2.4 Ghz network. The unit has a WiFi indicator that will blink when in pairing mode. It MUST BLINK RAPIDLY TO CONNECT. However, it can also blink Quickly but will not connect. Ensure it is blinking RAPIDLY The app is very feature rich and will take some time to understand and set up but does afford a lot of control over the switch.

> 3 dayIt took about 2 hours to install which was longer than I expected, but I was able to find all the help and instructions that I needed. Connecting took many attempts but I think that was because my WiFi was on the same circuit as my switches. Some of the help sources I found instructed me to press the reset button at the bottom left of the switch but it does not exist. Once I found that I could reset by holding the button for 5 seconds, I was successful. I have to retrain myself on turning on the light switch manually. If I stop in front of the switch and carefully press the middle of the button firmly, the light will come on. If I am sloppy, it will reject me, which offends me.

> 3 dayProduct is nicely designed. Especially liked the software. Had a couple of issues that were easily overcome. The first is the connection screws require the exact screw driver bit or they will strip. The second issue was the included pigtail wires are four inches when I needed six inches. This made the connections more difficult than needed. The wall plate screws did not exactly fit in the switch holes. Needed to screw in all four wall plate screws to tap the switch holes. Once I did this the wall plate installed fine. Also, the software requires your local network password.

> 3 dayLooks great, works great. Blue light is way too bright in an otherwise dark room. (I use this for a ceiling fan) This wouldnt bother me if there was a software way to disable it, but they didnt think of that I guess. Light switch that downloads its own software to run from the internet not capable of controlling its own internal light. Ironic.

> 3 dayExcellent switch and ive been using it for over a month now. Response time is extremely quick with the app and google home and like another reviewer said if your smart enough to configure scenes and automation you can use more of these as dumb remote switches to control the main one much like a pico remote. I have a 100 year old home and this comes in handy since wiring 3way wire in each room is nearly impossible and many of the 15x20 rooms only have one light switch which becomes aggravating... Ive also configured these to control nightlights when you turn them on or off. Possibilities are endless. Wiring them are fairly easy and some reviews state they cant wrap the wire around the screw, this is the incorrect way to wire these. The screws are set screws and ive found them to be fairly strong and i do recommend if you have solid wire in your home it may help to use the same awg stranded wire jumpers and wirenuts to the existing wire to alleviate strain on the switch and if your wire is too short. You can get 14 or 12 awg stranded wire in various colors from any hardware store by the foot. In regards to metal faceplates i couldnt find good reviews to sugest against them and ive found in my setup they work great with metal faceplates with a plastic box and my ubiquiti uap ac pro ap; of course mileage may vary and everyones setup and home is differnet. I have yet to add the additional sheilding of a metal box which some of my boxes are that i havent converted yet.

Greater than one weekAfter 6 months, one of the 2 switches just dropped off the radar. Tried repeatedly over a couple of days to reinstall onto WiFi with no success. The mate to it never had a problem in the same period. Contacted the e-mail support and got some advice but initially that did not solve the issue. After a couple of days, tried a fresh whole new install and it worked. Switch works well with Alexa to the extent that nothing works really well with Alexa. Mostly the problem on the Alexa side is Alexa also forgetting what WiFi it is using and name mis-recognition for the light switch.

Greater than one weekNow that we have these switches installed, I love them. They were easy to set up on the Smart Life App and work flawlessly with Alexa. That said, they were NOT easy to install. The switches are deep and barely fit in the electric box with the wires, wire nuts, etc. Also, the wiring that came with them was not the right type, so we had to use our own. What should have been a quick job took at least an hour. I bought two sets, but Im unable to use the second one, because it wont work with three way or four way. That mistake is on me (should have researched better), but if you have anything more than two-way, this is not the switch for you.

Greater than one weekI installed these switches in the master bedroom to control the ceiling fan and its light. The directions were easy to understand, and the installation is fairly simple. The switches paired with my home network without any problem, and worked well with my system. I have to give these switches only four stars though because the indicating lights built into them are too bright. They have both a blue light that lets you know your switch is paired with your system, and a blue light to indicate when the switch is on. These switches would be great to use anywhere but a bedroom. The indicating lights are so bright, they will actually disturb your sleep. I actually wound up replacing these switches with another brand whos indicating lights werent so bright.

> 3 dayI use these for the outside lights for my Airbnb. I have them on a timer, and I can turn them on/off remotely with the app. The app allowed me to setup timers, scenes, and widgets for my Android phone. Installation in box Not knowing much of anything about electrical wiring, it took me a while to figure out how load/line/neutral all worked together. Once I figured that out, it was fairly straight forward connecting the wires to the wifi switch that is well marked. If you have all the wiring plugged in, and it still doesnt give you a blue light....switch the Load and Line wires in the wifi switch. That should power it. Wiring my second device took a lot less time. I would recommend getting someone who knows how home wiring works. Pairing with Wireless Network Here is the tricky part - The wifi switch does NOT automatically start up in pairing mode. Once you see you have a steady blue wifi logo light on the switch, you will need to press and hold the center power icon on the switch face until the blue wifi logo starts to flash. That is your cue to begin the pairing process with your wireless network through the app you downloaded from the app store. The instruction booklet tells you which app to install. You will need to be on the same 2G wireless network that you want your switch to be on. What happens if the power goes out? Will I lose all of my settings? Your switch should automatically reconnect to the wifi with no issues once power is restored. If it does not, just re-pair it to your network. Your settings will still be there. I have the wifi switch in a double-gang box with a normal switch. I was going to purchase the face plate that was designed for such an application from Amazon, but discovered that the twelve dollar price was way too steep. I opted for the Home Depot one for ninety-eight cents.
