After using this for a day or two, I realized its not perfect. The pretty blue light is a nightmare at night. I finally had to take some dark colored duck tape and tape both sides under the face plate just so I could sleep. I still love it and it still works even with the duck tape but something has to be done about the light. Maybe it could go way dark, as in almost invisible in the dark and remain brightly lit during daylight hours, like a solar light in reverse? Previous review: I love this thing! I can now tell Alexa to turn off my ceiling fan when I get cold in the middle of the night and never leave my bed. Plus, I didnt have to disassemble my fan to install a remote sensor. I installed this wall switch in about 45 minutes. It only took me that long because I had to google some of the terms to make sure I was doing it right. The instructions the seller sent by email when I ordered it were more helpful than the ones that came with it, especially the wiring diagram. And yes, I have two wifi plugs. I also have a motion sensored light switch in my laundry room. I installed it several years ago when my elderly mother moved in with me. I didnt want her stumbling around in a dark room and fall while looking for the light switch. I am a 68-year old woman who has never had any instruction in construction. Aint technology grand! Have no idea how long this thing will last since my house is susceptible to electrical surges but Im loving it now and will probably replace it when the lightning gets it. And hopefully, I can buy some more for other switches. All hail, Alexa! One thing, this double switch actually fits in the electrical box. The first one I bought did not even though it was advertised as such. Make sure you look at the photos and read the descriptions to be certain its going to fit in the box where you plan to install it. Plus, no grimy fingerprints; just wipe them off!

Product is nicely designed. Especially liked the software. Had a couple of issues that were easily overcome. The first is the connection screws require the exact screw driver bit or they will strip. The second issue was the included pigtail wires are four inches when I needed six inches. This made the connections more difficult than needed. The wall plate screws did not exactly fit in the switch holes. Needed to screw in all four wall plate screws to tap the switch holes. Once I did this the wall plate installed fine. Also, the software requires your local network password.

1st, bought in July 2020. I don’t recall any issues installing it, and it has been paired with my system with no issues since. 2nd, the reason for my review - it did become disconnected from my Wi-Fi and I couldn’t figure out how to reconnect it (I got rid of the directions like a fool). Reached out to tech support and got it figured out quickly. So when you pair the switch, it has two modes for pairing. If you can’t pair it with the first mode (fast blinking lights), switch the nose to the second mode (slow blinking lights). The way to activate pairing mode is turn it on - off - on - off - on. After a few seconds the light should start flashing fast. To make it go to 2nd mode, same thing. (Off since you’re starting from on) - on - off - on - off - on. 2nd mode will have the switch create a Wi-Fi network you join and then add through the app. If that makes no sense, sorry, but reach out to the company! Only negative is the blue lights on the switch don’t turn off and act as a bit of a night light at night. Other than that, this has been great.

Switches worked great! Connected instantly to WiFi. I do not have Alexa etc. so didnt try that functionality. As long as you know basic electrical work IE knowing load, line, neutral and ground, installation is easy and straight forward. Only reason did not give 5 starts as I was disappointed there was really no programming instructions provided. Tech support gets 5 stars as I queried about programming and they answered same day! Great Tech Support.

Okay... first I ordered the 2-gang version of this item in order to control both the bedroom light as well as the ceiling fan. The item arrived quicker than expected (about 16 hours from the time of the order... BRAVO Amazon!). That said, I am taking away one star simply because the instructions for installation and then for syncing the item to my network werent exactly easy to follow. Now, having said that, Ill be the first to admit that when it comes to installing an electrical device of any kind (where I am the one having to play with wiring) I am not the brightest bulb in the box (pun intended). However, because I know that I dont know diddly about wiring, I must have very precise step-by-step (with pictures) instructions or I tend to be VERY overly cautious and thus end up reviewing multiple YouTube instructional videos to make sure that I have it down pat before I even pick up the screwdriver. Anyway... the installation itself took me approx. an hour. Then the registration, account setup and syncing took me another hour due to the fact that I was having trouble getting the switch to find and sync with my network. Well... eventually I won and the switch admitted defeat and now everything works as expected. I had no problems whatsoever linking my Alexa App to the products app and then being able to use Alexa to turn on and off both the light and the ceiling fan. Ill be adding a routine via Alexa, which will now turn off the light, turn on the ceiling fan, adjust the volume to 4 and start my sleeping music after I give the command, Alexa, Good night. Ive included two photos (one with the lights on and the other with them off) so that you might see the difference and the brightness of the switch. Yes, there is always light coming from the switch and as far as I can tell, there is no way to turn this off. I would and will recommend this switch to family and friends who are looking to trade in their standard 2-gang switch for a Smart version. UPDATE (09/16/2021): Since the initial review, I have purchased a total of 5 more of these switches. All are installed and working well. One of the switches was a little more difficult to setup, but when I used the ap mode to setup the switch with the network, everything worked flawlessly. I cant recommend these enough. Great product!

Main issue is the instructions are outdated, if you install small life app while linking to Alexa an error will pop up stating app is old and needs to be renewed. The correct app needed is called TuyaSmart, once installed, logged into you will be able to easily link the app to Alexa. Had the instructions been correct from the beginning the product would be a 5 across the board. Very poor effort on this vendors part.

Firstly I have an Orbi Mesh WIFI system that’s intelligent so separate 2.4 ghz and 5ghz. I have over devices connected. They are mostly 2.4 ghz devices and function fine without ever having to reconfigure my network. Even installed GE 8 smart build today. I’m an engineer by trade so the electrical wiring was a breeze. Had to buy 1 foot or wire to extend. The switches powered up as expected. The instructions are horrible. The app UI seem decent. The problems are the devices. Can’t get them to connect whichever way possible (auto, AP mode, manual). The instructions say to rename my network to differentiate between 2.4 and 5 ghz. My Orbi is I intelligent and will know to pick up that signal. We shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to connect devices. I never had to with all my other devices. These switches are cheaply made. I read someone review that said he use his old phone to pair them. I should of took that notice as a red flag. Who still has an old phone that still uses 2.4 ghz bandwidth. Spent over 4 hours and nothing. Completed waste of time. Lesin is the brand. Will me returning these when the GE smart switch come in. Their app and pairing process is a breeze. Spend the extra money and stay away from this brand

In the process of changing out my traditional light switches with smart switches i have purchased some other brands but this switch seemed of higher quality. instructions were clear and the installation was easy. Connects quickly to my network (I use the smart life app and google home) and looks great I would highly recommend, and will look purchase additional switches from this company

It took about 2 hours to install which was longer than I expected, but I was able to find all the help and instructions that I needed. Connecting took many attempts but I think that was because my WiFi was on the same circuit as my switches. Some of the help sources I found instructed me to press the reset button at the bottom left of the switch but it does not exist. Once I found that I could reset by holding the button for 5 seconds, I was successful. I have to retrain myself on turning on the light switch manually. If I stop in front of the switch and carefully press the middle of the button firmly, the light will come on. If I am sloppy, it will reject me, which offends me.

I tried and tried to get it to sync with wifi. I could get it work sometime, then it would lose it. The instructions are not very helpful and their tech support is somewhere that I cannot find them
