I LOVE my new Stanwood Large Ball Winder! It works like a dream. The nylon gears make a humming noise that is not unpleasant and is not grating on the nerves at all. And you can wind a ball/cake of yarn FAST! I am just thrilled with it!!!

I purchased this as an upgrade to replace my small Stanwood Needlecraft winder because it couldnt handle large skeins. This winder is expensive but its worth every penny! Its sturdy and winds up ANY size skein with ease.

Very well made and well crafted. This is a good heavy duty long, lasting piece. You will probably never have to replace it.
