Greater than one weekI am impressed with the quality of this product. Its made so well. I wanted it for myself but the kids took over and wound most of my yarn for me. Im recommending this product to my yarn friends.

> 3 dayI use it weekly. I would buy this ball winder again. It is that good. It works well with all yarns, even the bulky yarns. I can make super large cakes, too.

Greater than one weekI just bought this winder and it gar outshines my old winders, a Boye and a Lacis. It will wind bery large cakes, most yarn weights. I expect it to last much longer than the others especially because the device to fasten it ti the table is metal rather than plastic. Very VERY pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a KnitPicks ball winder, which was an abomination. This winder is perfection. The core is the perfect size for large balls of yarn and it winds yarn beautifully into a perfect cake with no yarn spillage from the center. Worth. Every. Penny.

> 3 dayI previously had the all-plastic version (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004B44PYI/ref=s9_acsd_al_bw_c_x_3_w) and this is a nice improvement! My husband upgraded it for Christmas and I couldnt be happier. This ball winder is extremely sturdy, with the base being metal instead of plastic. The only complaint I have is that the bottom arm comes loose sometimes, but I usually can fix it by tightening the wingnut. This isnt a necessary tool for most yarn enthusiasts, but it makes winding a breeze and I enjoy it. If youre looking to save some money, the plastic Stanwood winder (referenced above) is also an excellent winder at half the price and a bit less sturdy. Nothing was wrong with mine at all, so Im keeping it as a backup!
