Good product. Worked for very well and held alot of yarn.

Super sturdy and super easy to use! This winder makes cake-shaped balls of yarn that you can pull from the center (instead of unwind from the outside). I can make two cakes from one of the jumbo skeins of yarn from the hobby store and that cuts down on the number of knots that end up in your project as you work. I was pleasantly surprised to see the winder was mad of heavy-duty materials that even I, in my boundless enthusiasm to crank up the yarn, could not destroy. Its functional, durable, and works super well. I am very pleased with the whole process!

My wife is a knitter and spinner. After using a plastic ball winder, she was looking for an upgrade. This fits the bill. Sturdy, large capacity and high quality. She said the yarn has been wound nicely and the ball is easy to work with and stays neat.

Another fabulous product. Very substantial. The nylon gearing is working out fine. Rolls really nice center pull balls quickly. A joy to use. It is a bit bulky to store because I dont remove the yarn guide.

I LOVE this ball winder. (I bought the wood swifter to go with it). Works so smoothly, seems very well-made. It has made my knitting life so much easier. No more asking my husband to loop the skein of yarn around his hands while I spend a LONG TIME forming a ball...which is often too tight, sometimes tangled, and frequently dropped by me and rolled across the floor.

Has transformed my stash of left over yarn into cakes that are easy to use and store.

So glad I went for this one , worth the money. Very sturdy I can breeze through winding my yarn . A pleasure to be able to crochet freely and not stopping to detangle !

I had borrowed a friends winder prior to my purchase and liked the Stanwood product much better. The parts that would be prone to breakage are all metal on this version so I expect it will last for many years. It is easy to use and works very smoothly.

I have only used this 4 times, but so far, I love it. You cant wind too fast or you will have a tangled mess. It works great!
