Greater than one weekHad hubby get me this for Christmas to replace the one Id had for years. My old one was ok but I got a lot of yarn vomit on the center pull cakes. Id heard that with this winder no more barfing would occur!

> 3 dayFast shipping. Product works like a charm. No more hand winding. My last ball winder broke after six months. This one looks to be much sturdier. I wound lace yarn and Worsted weight and it did both without a hitch.

06-06-2025Love it. Works perfectly. Attached it to a fairly sturdy camera stand and I can move it around and not have to attach and unattached it from a table.

Greater than one weekI bought this along with my Amish yarn swift and I could not be happier. It functions very well, and it makes great center-pull skeins. It handles large amounts well (the largest Ive done is the Caron Super Soft from Michaels). I dont recommend using it for smaller amounts of yarn (probably nothing under 150 yards). I actually have another yarn winder that I bought at Michaels that works perfectly for smaller amounts. I guess my only complaint is that the gears are made out of plastic. I wound up all of my yarn stash using this and my other ball winder, and so far no problems. I think I would just prefer metal gears for durability/longevity.

07-06-2025I have been very pleased with this purchase. Excellent workmanship in the product and it is simple to set up and use. The yarn cakes are awesome to work with as well.

> 3 dayWorks well but loud and the rubber thing that keeps the arm from laying against table keeps moving right up the arm from the extreme vibration so I have to keep stopping to move it back in place. It does wind my yarn great though so overall I am happy. I wish I bought it sooner - makes a huge difference when organizing my yarn problem!

> 3 dayI have very large skeins that need to be wound. This size is important for stability of process

> 3 dayI recently got this ball winder as a replacement for my second ball winder. The first two I had were mostly plastic and both had failed on me due to the plastic construction, When I saw this one, the fact that it was mostly metal was what caught my attention. The price was in the ballpark of the latest dead ball winder, so I went for it.
