> 3 dayI did not purchase this from Amazon - I purchased directly from their site… not realizing it was available here. Nevertheless, I felt obligated to review it here too because it is just that good! It may be expensive intentionally but it’s a well worth investment, even if you casually crochet and/or knit.

> 3 dayThis thing is fantastic! I would have saved so much time and effort if I would have purchased this years ago. No more tangled skeins, and storing them is so much easier now! Its super easy to assemble for use and then disassemble for storage. It seems very sturdy, and has already worked very hard. If it ever does break, I would definitely buy again. It has already saved me enough time and frustration to be worth the price, and Ive only had it a few months.

> 3 dayI purchased a different yarn winder first but did not like it. I found this one and decided to take a chance on it. I was greatly surprised on how sturdy it is and it easily wound my extra bulky skeins of yarn. I LOVE it!!!

> 3 dayIt was a gift for wifey - and she loves it. I like watching the mechanics of it in action... round and around it goes, when it stops, you ran out of yarn. It makes wonderfully organized and efficient yarn spool things.

> 3 dayI needed something that could handle a variety of yarn sizes. Had bought one from Hobby Lobby that was garbage. This was a good price and could hold larger amounts of yarn. Simply tighten onto a ledge or table, feed it through and off you go. It winds yarn into a nice firm cake. I did a good amount of research on winders, and im glad I went with this one.

> 3 dayI finally have a ball winder that doesnt try to wind on the top or the bottom of the skein. I havent used it a ton but Ive wound at least 10 skeins now and I am very happy with this ball winder.

> 3 dayWish I would have found this yarn winder years ago. I was able to put it together in about 5 minutes (or less) and have been using it ever since. I thought about getting one of the cheaper knock-offs, but am glad I decided to go with this one. It is worth every penny! It is sturdy, well made, and easy to use. I only wish it could handle a full 1 pound skein, but I will probably just make 2 cakes out of those instead. This is a must for any yarn artist (aka yarn hoarder!) out there.

> 3 dayI buy a lot of yarn in hanks online and needed something to replace the smaller, plastic winder that broke. This one is a real workhorse.

Greater than one weekI was looking for a winder that would hold large skeins and this one didnt disappoint! It doesnt take a little more room to use but thats to be expected. It winds a nice cake with good tension without you having to control it. Well worth the money!
