I really love this winder but it has one bug flaw the tension part never gets tight enough so you cant just constantly go with out either holding on the the tension piece or going super slow. I really wish this would of had a better way of holding the tension piece so it doesnt move every five seconds.

Easy to use and made for long lasting use.

Very well made yarn baller. My wife did a bit 30 balls the first day I gave it too her. With the money if one crochets much at all.

Ive been wanting a ball winder for some time and have looked at several, but after reading their reviews, I decided not to buy. Every winder, bar none, I looked at, the reviews all said the same thing...plastic gears, broke on first try or shortly thereafter. Several of the reviews went on to mention the Stanwood winder and how it was sturdy, metal gears, and yes, expensive. I decided that the cost was most likely worth it, and finally caught it in stock. I never used/bought the less expensive brands, but I dont think Im going to regret the decision to buy the Stanwood. This thing is a beast! Sturdy, well built, easy to use. I went a little crazy the first night I used it and even wound some center pull hanks. I love this thing. Im sure Ill get many years of quality use from it.

I am very dissatisfied with this product. I bought it to accommodate large skeins of yarn, which it does, but the gears have stripped and now it runs very poorly. This causes the balls of yarn to get disoriented since they wrap in the same spot again and again, making for a difficult product to use. And I have no options for returning it or even getting help from the company if its possible to re-adjust it. Id rather pay more money and have a company stand behind their product than not have anyone to contact if, or when, there is a problem. Lesson learned!

I dont personally use it , but the wife loves it. She told me she didnt know how she ever got along without it

Awesome. I wound 10 balls the first day I owned it. Well made and should last for years.

Couldnt live without it!
