Amazing. Its a beast! I had to return the cheap plastic one from a local craft store. It was very noisy and sounded like it would break at any minute. I just have one quirk - I was getting shocked from static buildup. Thats only because I wound my complete yarn stash lol. This is heavy duty and gets the job done quickly. Do not attach it to a metal surface. Love it!!!!

This is the real thing, DO NOT go buying those winders in the $25-$30 price range, I made the mistake once and I regret it, this Large Metal Ball Winder really gets the job done, its well made, durable, and super fast, theres a metal cogwheel model that also works but is a little noisy.

This works great. Very solid easy to attach to any table. Makes a very nice ball.

Omg Im in love with this. I did a lot of research before I bought this bad boy. All the electric ones only do about 4oz of yarn. To me thats not nearly enough. This one will do 10oz. Ive done most my yarn to make it easier to store it. My kids love helping me as well. You both have to put a few pieces together but its super easy. I highly recommend this item.

5 stars! Only one minor thing--there is a buildup of static electricity from some types of yarn. I wear rubber gloves to prevent getting shocked.

This is a great tool for the serious (or semi-serious) yarnie. I have owned a smaller unit from another vendor for about a year, and was pleased for the most part. However, after several winding mini and/or near disasters, I decided it was time to upgrade. And I am so glad I did. This is a flawless machine--at least so far. I have been using it for about a month now, and it consistently winds great center-pull cakes. Handles larger than 100g hanks with ease. Assembly was a breeze, and so far its been a gem.
