Stanwood Needlecraft Large Metal Yarn/Fiber/Wool/String Ball Winder - 10 oz

Good quality. The yarn does not get stuck in the gears as it did in my old winder. A bit tricky to set up but worth the effort.

I’m very satisfied with my Stanwood. The only negative is it doesn’t wind 10 oz but does wind 7 easily. I would definitely recommend buying this.

I am a yarn collector. But I am moving and I wanted to pack all of my beautiful yarn and making them into cakes seemed the best way to do it. So I looked at many winders on line, and read reviews and chose this one. It is really great. I found it easy to use and will always cake my yarn from now on. I like that all of my yarn is center pull without recking the skein to find the center.

I haven’t used it yet, but did check it out and I think it will be great. It seems much sturdier then my old one.

Very sturdy and well constructed

I just got the item in today and have created 4 balls of yarn of various sizes. The initial set up is very easy and it works right away. The only drawback is the yarn has to be loosened from the skein beforehand. Pulling straight from the skein makes the tension too tight.

Love it! Easy to put together, easy to use and has made storing my yarn so much more compact!

It works great and fast. Makes a nice neat stackable cake.. My yarn storage issues have been completely solved. Have recommended this several times to other members at Knitting Paradise.com

Just got this today as a gift. Ive only wound one cake of yarn with it, but it is much easier to wind with than the classic red and white plastic winder. Love it so far!
