This is a great rack in terms of overall appearance and build quality so I can easily recommend it. While the cable management cutouts are not sharp they are still metal and therefore have the potential to damage cables over time. The addition of rubber or plastic grommets here would be a good idea. Also, as others have noted it should come with enough cage nuts to properly complement its 6U size.

I bought this rack unit because Ive started to get some new gear for my personal music/recording studio. I currently have an Avid Eleven Rack and a BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer as rack-mount effects. Let me say this unit is a beast and sturdy as a tank. As shown in the pics, it holds my rack FX perfectly with three additional spaces leftover (the 11 Rack uses 2 spaces all by itself) and still has plenty of room to hold my old Mac Mini and my Behringer audio interface (U-Phoria UMC204HD). The top is open, but I found a perfectly sized spare shelf I had to place my HD monitor on top of the whole setup. The rack unit comes with the stabilizer bar already assembled and everything ready to go. In the fairly large box it came in I received the rack unit, a one-page instruction manual in a plastic binder sleeve, and all the necessary accessories bubble-wrapped and zip-tied to the unit itself. Everything I needed, in other words—with plenty of space for cord management and airflow in the back of the unit. Included are enough rack screws, clip nuts, and washers to install 3 or 4 rack-mount effects. It would be nice if they also included enough for the rest of the units shelf space (6 rack FX in all), but its definitely not a deal-breaker and not worth the removal of a star rating. If youre looking to get into rack-mounted FX for yourself, give this bad boy a try. You wont regret it.

Holds everything it needs. Its stable when mounted. I mounted wood to the wall prior to mounting the rack. It arrived a bit bent where the devices mount, but I was able to straighten it out with a pliers and after securing a device to the rack, it worked itself out. It organizes everything nicely. There are enough screws and mount clips to do what you need.

NO SURPRISES. Except that fastener hardware count was insufficient for 6 items. I got enough for only three panels. Those fasteners are expensive, if bought additionally.

The network cables in my apartment terminate an a fairly awkward spot for a desk or a shelf, but its a decent position for an end table. I bought this rack (and the LACK table from ikea if anyone else want to do something similar) for that purpose and it works very well. However, this 8U rack only comes with 6U worth of mounting hardware. I could not find that information in the text areas of the product page, but the last picture does say that only 24 sets of the nuts and bolts come with it. I have to take one star off because the BOM should be prominently listed on the page. The product description says that the cage nuts and screws are included. In my opinion, a reasonable interpretation of that is when buying an 8U rack with included hardware, the product would include 8U worth of hardware. Its not necessarily a deal breaker, I just think that the count of hardware should be explicitly stated in the product description if you are only going to receive 75% of what could be reasonably expected. But like I said, not a deal breaker in my case because this project is planned to take a few months and I only have 6U worth of devices anyway. But that is just my specific situation. Tl; dr: Please keep in mind, you will only be able to mount 6, 1U devices in this 8U rack without buying additional hardware. Thats a product page issue, but the product itself is exactly as advertised.

This is a great quality network rack. Very sturdy and has a cross-brace on the top. It comes with all things needed (bolts and nuts for the equipment). I bought a bottom shelf (https://amzn.to/3lOC2sN) so I could put non rack-mountable equipment in there as well. I thought a 6u would be plenty, but should have bought an 8u because I didnt realize how much stuff I would put in there. Overall very happy with my purchase and looking at purchasing another one here soon.

The product is sturdy and easy to install but openings in the back could be bigger. trying to fit 37 cat6a cables to a 48 port patch panel took some dremel work to modify opening to accommodate for cable management. perhaps some punch through similar to what an electrical circuit breaker box has to easily provide for more access for additional cables? but overall great product for price but could easily see myself paying a little extra for added conveniences of install.

It works great. I just feel like it’s a little overpriced for what it is.

Perfect for a home network - well priced, decently made, and took me to the next level with my home networking equipment. Easy to install and sturdy. There is a horizontal brace that can be top or bottom mounted depending on what you have installed, which will give the rack the proper squared up dimensions to install standard width network equipment in. Keep in mind that this rack has some flex in the vertical side panels which will disappear once a couple of items are installed in it. Check out Budget Nerds YouTube channel for a nice little primer on this setup; Tom Lawrence also has a nice video on his Lawrence Systems YouTube channel called DIY Home Rack Build which goes over some great options for modular keystone patch panels. I installed this on a stud framed wall in my basement, a work in progress. Ill likely sheath the stud wall in plywood to give me flexibility to mount other networking equipment as needed.

My first rack and Im super happy. For whatever reason I just wanted walls on the sides, this delivered. I have no idea what the top bar is though? Super sturdy feeling and it doesnt seem it will get scratched up. Get your own rack nuts because all free ones are meh, I expected this though. I built the wood shelving around it. Found out my walls are brutally concave. Without the curve it would have been 20 in and the rack would be so snug. I basically researched every other option on Amazon and this one seemed the best bang for my buck.
