> 3 dayThe drywall anchors are cheap plastic ones that were obviously stored in a hot warehouse, because they cracked and fell apart. After buying metal 100 lb rated drywall anchors, its not going anywhere. The product itself is great and pretty heavy duty metal. My only concern is the lack of M6 cage nuts and bolts. I did not receive them, as advertised with the product. Its not a big deal, as they are cheap to purchase separately. Just make sure to buy your own screws/nuts/bolts and dont rely on the ones promised with the product.

> 3 dayIts a rack, does its job. The accuracy of the cutouts isnt the best. The top U is blocked by the bar going across the top.

> 3 dayMounting holes are 16 on center making it easy to mount to the wall studs. Sturdy and secure to the wall, keeps my home networking gear organized, off the shelf/floor, and out of the way. Highly recommend for any home or small business to organize their rack mountable networking equipment.

Greater than one weekI have two stacked on top of each other. In the image you can see how its not properly manufactured. I had to remove the crossbar and force the width on the lower part so I could get the rack mount equipment into the rack. Its tapered and you have to bend it outwards. Usually Im really happy with this brand (Startech), but I really wasnt too happy with this. I will mention that it sort of looked like it was returned and repackaged, comparing it to the new one. I managed to get it working because I didnt want to return it. But frustrating nevertheless.

> 3 dayWriting this review a year and a half later. The rack itself is great! It has help up just fine. Ive upgraded my equipment a couple of times now -- and both times when Ive done so and rearranged things, at least one of the screws has locked itself into the cage nut upon reinsertion and mangled its threads, ruining both. Both times, Ive had to take everything out of the rack, use pliers and a screwdriver and forcible remove them. A real pain. Perhaps Im doing something wrong? Idk. Its just a screw.... and Im definitely not over-torqueing it and it shouldnt be this easy to cross-thread, if thats whats happening. Anyway a few pieces of my equipment came with their own cage nuts and those ones havent given me any trouble.

> 3 dayA basic and right-sized rack for the modest needs of home network. A good depth to take a variety of equipment, but still shallow enough to fit unobtrusively in the back of a closet or cupboard. The steel is solid, and well powder coated. I can fit 48 cables through the back holes with ease. I do place blanking plates at the bottom as the corners arent rounded and can give you a bit of a bump if youre not wary.

> 3 dayAssuming you mounted it properly to studs, this thing is incredibly sturdy. Should be able to support any equipment no problem.

> 3 dayI was pleasantly surprised by this rack. Frankly I expected something more flimsy based on a couple other reviews, but its actually nicely made and quite sturdy especially when you put in a few components. I have not mounted it on the wall just yet - but I expect that to go easily. Pros: - Sturdy - Powder coat finish - even. No sharp edges. Cons: - Only comes with (12) M6 screws/nuts which basically gives you 3 components you can mount in this rack. I would have at least put 20 or 24 because you are likely to fill it up completely and not a large cost over all (perhaps a few pennies?). Plan to get a few more screw/nuts if you have more than 3 items going in this rack. There are a few options on amazon (unfortunately most come in a 25 or 50 pack ... and are silver not black ... at least that I could find). I bought this for managing the nerve center on my new house still under construction ... so it will house my modem, router, a switch, NAS, power strip, patch panel and with a bit of room for a 1U NAS/Server down the road - tbd. Will update after the install but expect this to be a winner.

> 3 daySo far I am really pleased with this patch panel. The looks are pretty good. It is a nice black and the paint quality seems like itll be free from chips and easy to clean. The installation was really easy. The included instructions have a drill template which lined up perfectly with the wall studs. I was left feeling confident this patch panel was not going to fall off the wall. Im really glad I went with the 8U panel. It was not that much more and it allowed more breathing room for my equipment. One feature I wish this panel had was something to allow for cable management. Perhaps some mounting options to hide long cords and such. I paired this panel with a StarTech 1U vented shelf. I like the resulting look and functionality. I with StarTech made a 2U shelf that was the appropriate depth. Their existing 2U shelf is too deep for this panel. Overall I am very pleased with this panel. I would definitely purchase again.
