Greater than one weekWriting this review a year and a half later. The rack itself is great! It has help up just fine. Ive upgraded my equipment a couple of times now -- and both times when Ive done so and rearranged things, at least one of the screws has locked itself into the cage nut upon reinsertion and mangled its threads, ruining both. Both times, Ive had to take everything out of the rack, use pliers and a screwdriver and forcible remove them. A real pain. Perhaps Im doing something wrong? Idk. Its just a screw.... and Im definitely not over-torqueing it and it shouldnt be this easy to cross-thread, if thats whats happening. Anyway a few pieces of my equipment came with their own cage nuts and those ones havent given me any trouble.

> 3 dayThe network cables in my apartment terminate an a fairly awkward spot for a desk or a shelf, but its a decent position for an end table. I bought this rack (and the LACK table from ikea if anyone else want to do something similar) for that purpose and it works very well. However, this 8U rack only comes with 6U worth of mounting hardware. I could not find that information in the text areas of the product page, but the last picture does say that only 24 sets of the nuts and bolts come with it. I have to take one star off because the BOM should be prominently listed on the page. The product description says that the cage nuts and screws are included. In my opinion, a reasonable interpretation of that is when buying an 8U rack with included hardware, the product would include 8U worth of hardware. Its not necessarily a deal breaker, I just think that the count of hardware should be explicitly stated in the product description if you are only going to receive 75% of what could be reasonably expected. But like I said, not a deal breaker in my case because this project is planned to take a few months and I only have 6U worth of devices anyway. But that is just my specific situation. Tl; dr: Please keep in mind, you will only be able to mount 6, 1U devices in this 8U rack without buying additional hardware. Thats a product page issue, but the product itself is exactly as advertised.

> 3 dayI am super-pleased with this rack. I just revamped my home network and used this rack for my modem, router, patch panel, switch and PDU. It was very easy to install and seems solidly mounted. Its a 9U unit and it had plenty of space for what I needed, plus more for expansion. But with a bunch of cat-6 cabling plus all the power cables, its starting to get a little crowded inside. But, with good cable dressing its not a big problem. Id definitely recommend this product.

> 3 daySome of the 1U devices items fit really tight and the mounting holes may be too close vertically.

> 3 dayThe reviews for this product seem to be mixed, but theyre not all for the exact same product. This review is for the 6U product. Its pretty study especially with the top brace; it can be moved to the bottom if necessary. Brace protrudes into the rack unit immediately adjacent; youll probably want to remove it if you plan to install anything other than a patch panel in that rack unit. Sturdy especially with the brace. 16 inches on center. Doesnt come with enough cage nuts and screws. In the box was only 12 cage nuts and screws (enough for 3 devices).

Greater than one weekThis is an excellent rack for small components. I cant tell you how sturdy it is. More than I really needed. The ports at the back were perfectly positioned and the mounting was made simple. However as it turned out I changed my mind about where I was going to put the rack and what I was going to put in it. Therefore I exchanged the 12U for a slimmer 8U configuration. It is working perfectly and houses my cyber power, NVR, and Gigabit switch. It is also not wall mounted but sitting on my workbench in the garage so I can get the cables in thru the back. Working perfectly.

> 3 dayA basic and right-sized rack for the modest needs of home network. A good depth to take a variety of equipment, but still shallow enough to fit unobtrusively in the back of a closet or cupboard. The steel is solid, and well powder coated. I can fit 48 cables through the back holes with ease. I do place blanking plates at the bottom as the corners arent rounded and can give you a bit of a bump if youre not wary.

> 3 daySeems like a decent deal. Be aware, do not use the screw assembly the send! They do not stay in the square holes, they pop out the back, then if you w as nt yo ever remove the unit from the rack, the screa strips into the nut assembly then you cant get it out. I even tried vise grips to grab the nut from the backside, it was impossible to grab the nut, too tight of space. I tried everything. But eventually, the ears on my dbx compressor took too much stress and broke off. Huge loss for a nut that probably only cost a penny. Anyways, buy aftermarket assemblies before screwing in your units....
