Let me start by saying that this review started harsh because I own so many Surefire flashlights and always received quality. I bought this because the Surefire G2X Pro is my absolute favorite. I choose it for work over my E2D Defender because its brighter. But I really wished my G2X Pro would come on High mode first. So the LE really peeked my interest. Boy, did this new LE model disappoint me. The LED quality is terrible. Look at the picture I posted. To the left is my Surefire G2X Pro (320 lumen) and to the right is the Surefire G2X LE (400 lumen). The pure white output of the Pro is far superior than this green crap the LE puts out. These are the LEDs that the cheap Chinese flashlights come with! And is the LE even brighter? I honestly cant tell a difference being that the pure white light of the Pro is so much clearer that I can actually see further with it. Shame on you Surefire for going cheap.... EDIT 9/15: Surefire completely replaced my entire flashlight free of charge for the same model but made sure the one they gave me gave out a light with a pure white tint. And boy did it. Its not warm, its not cool, its perfect. Surefire, you had me worried, but you pulled through! I was unable to get pictures of the two LEs side by side. But trust me, if you experience any bad tint with Sirefire just hit them up!

I have several now, the price and power is pretty unbeatable. I like to throw a Thyrm switchback on them to make it easier to handle, if you haven’t seen ‘em check it out hopefully this doesn’t get me in trouble lol but the flashlights are pretty much indestructible, I love 123a batteries despite the price they have 10 year shelf life so take my word for it always buy the branded 123a surefire sells they’re the best. Low light is awesome for not draining batteries and being usable, bright is “holy bleep” bright so you won’t be lacking. Highly recommend having 1 or more in your car, house, purse/bag etc. you never know when you will need a real flashlight and iPhone flashlight doesn’t cut it

I own several Surefire flashlights. I own several of these. They are a true 600 lumens compared to Chinese products that give false pretenses on lumen strength. This is a light weight, bright & durable product with great throw that is made in the USA. If I had one fault it would be the polycarbonate lens. But for this price point it could not be expected to have the tempered glass lens like on the higher end models. For those on the fence, just by it!

What a pleasure to find a light these days without 5 modes. This has a friendly 2 mode with high and low. And for my old eyes I got the yellow. Its well built and for a company thats known for anodized battle ready light, this new material is very nice and offers a firm grip. Ive got 30-odd flashlights lying around from many manufacturers and of low to height price, so take it or leave it, this is one I will buy again.

This is our third SureFire light. High quality. I really like having the option of two levels of intensity. The higher intensity level is bright enough to light up a large room.

I like the fact that this flashlight has the brightest option 1st. For security work this is a plus feature. And for a rating of 500 lumens its very bright. A good quality and value for the price.

I had a tough time deciding between the G2X LE and the G2x Tactical. The LE version turns on emitting 600 lumens and can switch to 15 lumens to extend battery life. The Tactical version turns on emitting 600 lumens and thats it. That makes the Tactical version more reliable when seconds count. That being said, I bought the LE because I can access the same high light mode the first time, every time while still having an admin mode helping to preserve my night vision. I like this set up a lot but can understand the argument for the Tactical version. I find the reach to be sufficient, the beam to have a nice bright center with an excellent diffuse light surrounding that enabling peripheral vision. The light does have a slightly green tint to it, but I dont care. The light is light and reliable and USA designed, built and guaranteed - thats pretty dang good in my book. This is the one I have on my belt because it checks off all of my boxes. PS - The third G2X option is the Pro. This light turns on in the 15 lumen setting and can be bumped up to the 600 lumen setting with a quick half press of the tail switch. This is a great option if this is more of a survival light or a just in case light for you because it will help to extend your battery life. This was not an option for me because I was looking for a tactical light and need the maximum brightness right off the bat. PPS - Check out the Fenix ARB-L16-700 16340 battery (you need 2) for a rechargeable option to help save you a bundle of money on batteries. You will get a shorter runtime out of rechargeables, but you will save money over single use CR123As.

Beware of getting old/returned 320 lumen or 200 lumen versions! This one was the real deal, 600 lumens is noticeably brighter than my old 320 lumen lights.

I bought this flashlight many years ago and I left it in a rental car! I ordered a new one to replace it. This is the only flashlight I have found that starts on low light than high. Excellent quality. I did have the recharger and batteries to go with that it that work well too. I am tired of throwing batteries in the landfill. I perfer the low light first so as not to toatally destroy my night vision. When I need brighter I just click again. About every flashlight on the market goes high to low with a strobe last. I suspect they are all using the same chinese chip for it. Good Luck BP
