The premium flashlight category has gotten very competitive over the years, and while Surefire quality remains superb, they have quite a few competitors now in their space. And its against the backdrop of competing lights that the G2X Pro--a dual-level light with a polymer plastic body--seems very expensive at its $90 list price. (Which is often what it sells for.) Dont get me wrong--this is a nice, well-balanced light in a great EDC size that performs as advertised--but I couldnt recommend it at $90. Fortunately, Amazon often discounts the light, and if you can grab it when its down to $60, then its simple operation, minimal features and plastic body make a lot more sense. The high visibility yellow is a great color which should insure that youll always be able to find this flashlight when you need it. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and I hope you find it helpful in making a buying decision.

Surefire makes the best weapon and tactical hand held lights. You get what you pay for.

Very satisfied with the light, and surpassed my expectations. Surefire quality control is second to none, and I now have 3 variations of the G2X that I use as a Police Officer Daily. This light greatly enhances usability for a policeman because on this particular light, the high output is first and the low output is the second click, which is the other way around for the rest of the series. This was my one downfall of the G2X light and now it has been addressed and this light is perfect. When compared to the Pro and Tactical versions, the LE is noticeably brighter and I havent noticed a significant difference in battery duration. I have been using this as my back up light on my duty belt for at least 2 weeks and it is still going strong. Couldnt recommend enough for a LEO. For a civilian, also a great light, but your money would be well spent with the PRO version.

Purchased April 2020 & verify that the G2X LE is a dual-output 600 lumens/15 lumens compact flashlight. Fits in the palm of the hand & the flashlights dual-output is controlled by the click button in the tailcap. The first press is the 600 lumens; second press is 15 lumens. The old review from 2018 about 400 lumens/15 lumens output is for the old model G2X LE thats since been discontinued & replaced by the current model. Id include a photo of the packaging, but Amazon isnt allowing new customer images. However, you can also find the specs on the Surefire website & google pics of the new packaging. The lightweight body is black nitrolon polymer & the bezel is black anodized steel. I also have Surefires 6PX which is entirely metal with an aluminum body & anodized steel bezel. Both feel rugged, but relative to the 6PX, the G2X feels imbalanced bc the bezel outweighs the body & makes it tilt forward. Just be aware of this if you plan on using the G2X as a handheld so that it doesnt drop.

My wife and I have multiple varieties for car, carrying and outdoors. A very bright light.

The light is tough - as in built like a tank. Its also very bright and throws a beam a long way. That comes in handy when youre late getting back to the trail head and youre hiking alone in bear/mountain lion country. In addition, with the yellow case its much easier to locate if you drop it in low light. This is an ideal choice for the avid outdoorsman.

Great flashlight. Just wish it was USB rechargeable. I love the simple on off switch. Too many flashlights these days you have to do double and triple clicks to change modes. This is just a simple one click on/off super bright flashlight.

I bought a first-generation G2X tactical (200 lumen) right when they came out, and since then Ive held the belief that the SureFire single-output LED lights are the only way to go if you want a handheld light for serious use. I just received the G2ZX (320 lumen) which I think is the perfect balance of efficiency, regulated runtime, output, and cost. I also think the combatlight handhelds are the pinnacle of SureFires design. I am unaware of any other manufacturer that makes syringe-body single-output tactical lights. Luckily, SureFire nails it with this one. The LED is well centered, the reflector has a nice orange-peel and focus, and the original surefire U/I tailcap (push-for-momentary, twist-for-constant) is still perfect. The G2ZX definitely has less output than my P2ZX Fury, but it should get much better battery life. And since the emitter is smaller, it doesnt require such a huge reflector. I think this is the best no-BS tactical flashlight available, especially at the current price. It would be a close call with the P2ZX Fury, but good luck finding one of those!
