I bought this flashlight many years ago and I left it in a rental car! I ordered a new one to replace it. This is the only flashlight I have found that starts on low light than high. Excellent quality. I did have the recharger and batteries to go with that it that work well too. I am tired of throwing batteries in the landfill. I perfer the low light first so as not to toatally destroy my night vision. When I need brighter I just click again. About every flashlight on the market goes high to low with a strobe last. I suspect they are all using the same chinese chip for it. Good Luck BP

Nice light so far. I like it. Took over as my EDC light from my previous E2DL Defender, the 200 lumen model. I carry this in a Raven belt holster with a Thrym Switchback. I already have a 6PX Tactical model but needed dual light outputs for everyday tasks, and I dont like how most of the Surefire light offerings have low->high as the clicky switch order. This high->low works better for me as an EDC compromise. This G2X LE has a noticeably whiter light compared to the 6PX and is also noticeably lighter due to the G2X body not being metal like the 6PX. Still, it feels like itd take a beating despite the lighter material. Also, the heads are exactly the same so works well in my kydex holsters I already had for the 6PX.

I bought this back in January and it is May with the flashlight very weak. I even bought extra batteries and a charger and still hold a very weak light. Do not buy this light, it is too late for me to send back. I feel I got ripped off.

I use this flashlight on my bicycle as a riding light. I can see the glow of the light on the various street traffic signs as I ride home at night in the city. The signs up to 1.5 blocks show the glow of the light which is impressive to me. I also take it out to my farm sometimes and use it to look for varmints that might be lurking around trying to steal a chicken or a pig. The light shows off the glow of the deer eyes and they are usually about 400 feet away. It can be kind of eerie looking at those glowing eyes.

I have one of these in every bedroom and every car I own. Hurts to buy 6 at a time but when theres an emergency this light will work. Dont worry about the expensive CR123 batteries. They last 10 years in storage. I buy ONE 12 pack every two years and replace the batteries in my cars. Dog gets lost...Ill find him a block away when his eyes glow. Bump in the night... no problem illuminating half the yard. Need to light your house when the power fails...light runs on low for 52 hrs. Light every room for days using old batteries. Spend once get lighting for life. No tactical strobe modes to screw around with, just high and low. Easy Peasy.

This is the second G2X single output I have ordered. I love them even if they are a little bulkier than some other options. When using it I just want on/off. K.I.S.S. and this is perfect.

This is an excellent quality flashlight. It is very easy to operate, and it generates more than enough light. It should be noted that this flashlight was a little shorter in length than I had expected, but it will be fine for most men unless you have extra large (XL) sized hands. For whatever it is worth, my Surefire flashlight was sold by Amazon and shipped by Amazon. It was definitely NOT a counterfeit. It is an authentic Surefire flashlight and I highly recommend it.

I used to carry the black version of this light when I worked in corrections and it’s a fantastic light. But now that I don’t have to blend into the darkness this ugly yellow one is the same light but much cheaper because it looks like crap.

While I appreciate the quality and customer service of Surefire, Im not a huge fan of this flashlight. I bought this to use for low light pistol shooting classes that I take. While I have weapon lights on my pistols, I wanted to have a backup handheld flashlight. The good thing about this model is that it is momentary only, so you wont accidentally hit the switch and leave it on, exposing your position while you fumble to try and turn off the light. But the bad thing about the switch on this model is that it takes a lot of pressure to depress the button and activate the light. When used as a weapon light in the Rogers / SureFire hold, it takes a fair amount of pressure to activate the switch against my palm. I find it awkward to maintain a hold for more than a few seconds. I prefer the lighter pressure and longer throw of the Fenix tactical switches, although I can understand the desire to prevent the SureFire from accidentally being activated. And the pressure required to activate the light has me a little concerned about involuntary sympathetic response when used in a Rogers hold--when you squeeze with your support hand to activate the light, you have to be very careful that you dont unintentionally move your trigger finger. I also dont like that rotating the tail cap can turn the light on. I wish they provided shims / washers to prevent the tail cap from rotating fully, thus preventing the light from ever activating fully. But the tail cap isnt loose, so it does take effort to rotate it, and I guess I could put something on the threads to increase the resistance. My last note is that this flashlight is blindingly bright for low light / night shooting situations. When flashed quickly to momentarily identify something, it produces a blinding flash if your eyes are adjusted to the darkness. If you leave it on, your eyes adjust quickly, but the light is crazy bright in a dark room. For night shooting classes, this flashlight is too bright if you are doing CQ shooting--if the beam hits a nearby white wall or paper target that you are using for cover, it is blinding. I find that 200 is my preferred max for low light shooting (TLR-1s, etc.). But other than those quibbles, its a very well made flashlight, and the design is perfect for Rogers hold.
