> 3 dayI had one of these ten years ago, still have it, and liked it so much I bought a second one recently. They are the perfect light for doing general purpose inspections in house, car, and in the field. The beam is perfectly smooth and even, the lumen-power is more than adequate, the battery life is long, the battery type (CR123) gives great reliability and longevity, and the tail switch is waterproof and ergonomic. Surefire figured out a long time ago that making these lights with a ring for clenching in your teeth is a good thing, and this one can be easily clenched with your teeth which is like having a third hand. Buy one.

Greater than one weekWhat can I say other than its aSureFire and works every time. And CR-23 batteries last a long time. At least the SureFire brand do so thats what I use in all my devices that use the CR-23 battery.. I bought the yellow color version because I wanted to be able to locate it in low light conditions. Although SureFire makes brighter lights, on high power this one is bright enough to completely light up an average size room in complete darkness and will temporary blind/stun someone if you shine it in their eyes. Which is what you need if you hear that bump in the night. On low power it produces plenty of light for normal flashlight use so you do not need high power all the time. Also bought my wife a SureFire Sidekick which is a small keychain size one thats rechargeable. She loves it and it lasts a long time on a charge under normal use.

Greater than one weekGreat little flashlight. Incredibly powerful and bright. Have spotted varmints 100 yards away with this at night. Easy to hold, easy to clean and plenty rugged. The low power setting is dim but serviceable for general camp light needs and getting around in the dark. The only downside is the odd battery size may be hard to find in a pinch in smaller store or remote towns and they are a little spendy but I get around that by buying value packs of them and always taking a few sets of spares.

> 3 dayI have several of these. Occasionally they disappear... hmmm. So I buy another one. Its not the brightest, it does not have multiple modes or fancy controls. BUT it is probably one of the best workhorse flashlights I have used. None of the ones that I own have *ever* failed, glitched out (like in a horror movie), or let me down in any way (this actually applies to every Surefire light I own). Ive dropped them, drowned them, run over them. This is the flashlight I keep on my nightstand. This is flashlight I would grab in an emergency.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent quality flashlight. It is very easy to operate, and it generates more than enough light. It should be noted that this flashlight was a little shorter in length than I had expected, but it will be fine for most men unless you have extra large (XL) sized hands. For whatever it is worth, my Surefire flashlight was sold by Amazon and shipped by Amazon. It was definitely NOT a counterfeit. It is an authentic Surefire flashlight and I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI own several Surefire flashlights. I own several of these. They are a true 600 lumens compared to Chinese products that give false pretenses on lumen strength. This is a light weight, bright & durable product with great throw that is made in the USA. If I had one fault it would be the polycarbonate lens. But for this price point it could not be expected to have the tempered glass lens like on the higher end models. For those on the fence, just by it!

Greater than one weekPurchased April 2020 & verify that the G2X LE is a dual-output 600 lumens/15 lumens compact flashlight. Fits in the palm of the hand & the flashlights dual-output is controlled by the click button in the tailcap. The first press is the 600 lumens; second press is 15 lumens. The old review from 2018 about 400 lumens/15 lumens output is for the old model G2X LE thats since been discontinued & replaced by the current model. Id include a photo of the packaging, but Amazon isnt allowing new customer images. However, you can also find the specs on the Surefire website & google pics of the new packaging. The lightweight body is black nitrolon polymer & the bezel is black anodized steel. I also have Surefires 6PX which is entirely metal with an aluminum body & anodized steel bezel. Both feel rugged, but relative to the 6PX, the G2X feels imbalanced bc the bezel outweighs the body & makes it tilt forward. Just be aware of this if you plan on using the G2X as a handheld so that it doesnt drop.

21-11-2024I have owned at least a dozen tactical lights and all of them were missing something. This one has just the right mix of high and low light options without sacrificing the simplicity of starting out on high every time which is the most important thing a tactical/defensive light needs to do every single time on the first click. Ive carried this light since 2019 and when married with the v70 hard holster is perfect for use on a duty belt. One other very nice feature is the composite material that is much warmer on the hands in the winter than aluminum that many lights are made out of.

> 3 dayArrived within a reasonable time, very bright, fits my gun mounts, and I love the high beam on first click design. i loved my other surefire but hated that I had to click twice to get to the high beam... Its a surefire... I bought the thing because I wanted a bright light. If I wanted to use the low setting I would use my headlamp, or my backup flashlight, or my flashlight on my key ring, or the one in my backpack or truck... This light solves that delima, and now I have a flashlight I can rely on, mounted on my shotgun.
