> 3 dayIf you need a good flashlight, you buy a SureFire. If battery life is a concern, then you buy a SureFire and extra batteries. This is a compact unit and very multi-purpose. I bought the yellow one because my other good flashlights kept getting borrowed or going missing. Easy to spot when its yellow.

> 3 dayThe light is tough - as in built like a tank. Its also very bright and throws a beam a long way. That comes in handy when youre late getting back to the trail head and youre hiking alone in bear/mountain lion country. In addition, with the yellow case its much easier to locate if you drop it in low light. This is an ideal choice for the avid outdoorsman.

> 3 dayI have several of these. Occasionally they disappear... hmmm. So I buy another one. Its not the brightest, it does not have multiple modes or fancy controls. BUT it is probably one of the best workhorse flashlights I have used. None of the ones that I own have *ever* failed, glitched out (like in a horror movie), or let me down in any way (this actually applies to every Surefire light I own). Ive dropped them, drowned them, run over them. This is the flashlight I keep on my nightstand. This is flashlight I would grab in an emergency.

> 3 dayI have another older surefire but I misplaced it somewhere in my world so I went and bought this one. Works like a Surefire should - wet, dry, muddy, or really cold. Absolutely love the feature that lets you twist the body part that puts the battery contact further away from the power button so it doesnt accidentally get turned on. Glad that it is NOT black. It can be seen in the dark in my bag or wherever. Works well with rechargeable batteries You wont regret purchasing this.

> 3 dayThis is a perfect tactical flashlight (Surefire G2X Tactical), a single output flashlight with a momentary/click style tailcap. Momentary On/Off by lightly pressing switch or Constant On by pressing switch down further until it clicks, clicking tailcap switch again turns it Off. In my opinion this is what you want in a tactical flashlight. High/Low/Strobe and twisting On/Off features are nice until you get into a high stress situation and start losing fine motor skills. If you do not train regularly using those fancy features you will most likely not use them properly under stress.

Greater than one weekThis is a serious flashlight. I got this after my 5.11 one stopped working. The high setting on this thing is blinding. Its VERY bright. The low setting could be a little bit brighter though, as its very dim but good enough. The finish on it is very rugged, and the light itself is small but hefty. I wanted a USA made flashlight because Im tired of the cheap crap out there. Grow a pair and dish out a little more , and help an American company make it.

> 3 dayThe high power will definitely light the way. Low power is great as well for close activity. Excellent product and worth the money!
