I think the device should lower the price a bit as it works for eye tracking function only, not even have camera function for streaming

I had a hard time finding a balance that worked for me in SC. Between a deadzone that let me use the controls on the MFDs and dogfighting. In the end the goal in the game is to increase immersion by simulating VR in a way. The sweet spot you have to keep your head in is very restrictive and if I looked down at my keyboard, my character would over react and try to tuck his head between his knees. The eye tracking... So if you look at something and the camera moves toward the object, the location on the screen changes, a constant chase between camera and eye tracking. They kind of solve this by having a lag or delay between look and move. Its just not the same. As for the product itself, compact, well built, neat and accurate technology. For purposes like auto lock and unlock based on retina scanning, amazing. But for the single purpose I purchased it for. Not so much. Only thing I would change if possible is an option to mount on top of the screen. It really cant be done right now based on internal mirrors. Or maybe have a version for over monitor tracking? Some people have had a better result than me but I sometimes wonder if they have really experienced true head tracking immersion that something like an index with 3 base stations can provide. Once you do that, there is no gimmick that can even come close.

It does what the company said it would do. That is refreshing in this day and age when many companies are false advertising. Quality is excellent.

Treid this with my LG C1 48 OLED and it is definitely too big. I also have glasses and that may have impacted the tracking, but I couldnt get this to function as well as I wanted. I am also fairly sensitive to input lag, and this certainly had a noticeable amount. This could definitely be because of the big display + distance I was sitting from it, but Ive heard other users mention input lag as a turn-off for this product. Overall, its really neat and I wish I could use it! Hopefully a future version supports bigger displays and lower processing time / input lag.

The eyetracking device itself is great works well but the software that it comes with is is total complete garbage. The runtime service sometimes does not start when the PC boots up, the software sometime says that its not plugged in even though it is and windows recognizes it that its plugged in, and when your in the software the buttons to go to different menus disappear when you and caused the software crash.

I really wanted to like this. It worked extremely well for DCS (flight sim) once I dialed it in and will make most simulator type games work better. I ultimately returned it because it caused me severe eye-discomfort when using even for a short time. The unit emits infrared light that caused fatigue and an odd sensation in my eyes during use. Just looking online, it would seem that I am in the minority.

The eye tracker worked well for my purposes. the service would crash occasionally, and the stand on my curved monitor lost stickiness after a couple weeks, but I feel like both are on my end. if you are using the eye tracker on the stand hanging from the monitor, remember to take it off the magnetic stand once youre done or youll risk losing adhesion over time.

The Tobii Eye Tracker 5 is very good quality, pretty accurate. I use it for Star Citizen. However it is NOT worth the money. 250$ for small little thing that is only usable is particular situations. Thats the price of a whole Oculus Rift!

After spending years in VR, I was skeptical about trying out this tech. However, I was shocked at how fantastic it works in games like Star Citizen of all games. Combine it with an ultrawide monitor and itll feel as close to high-res VR youll get without needing a headset. Players in Star Citizen crack up since you have full head tracking. People see me turn my head naturally where ever I move my head, even tilting it to the sides to look sideways. Great for immersion!
