I use a Samsung odyssey 49 ultra wide and getting it to track my eyes to the edge of the monitor is a bit finicky. If I adjust where I sit further back than normal it works most of the time. I used it on a 27 and it works great.

The product technically works well. The issue is if your using on a sim racing rig and the bottom of the monitor is lower than your wheel (even when turning (see pictures)) tobii will loose connection and image will stutter. Whatever situation you plan to use this make sure that nothing passes through the line of sight to the sensors. It must be able to see your eyes. If you purchase and find you are having issues, here’s a tip (not recommended by manufacturer). Install off center on the monitor to the left 6”-12” and line up markers on the screen setup with actual location. Then in settings, set it up to follow your left eye instead of both. I found that this worked okay but was still loosing line of sight at full lock when turning right. Unfortunately I stopped using it. Also this, will NOT work on top of the monitor, even upside down.

Exactly as described, mounted to the monitor in less than a minute, and set up software-wise in about the same. Functioned better than I had imagined it would even, I purchased this mainly for use in Star Citizen but in flight simulators as well. FUNCTION wise, it handled beautifully without a single disruption. Except the mounting system. On day 2, in a 76°F room (because I know people will ask :),) I learned that the point at which the device itself magnets to the monitor mount, is a thin piece of metal that is pre-adhered to the plastic base. I learned that, because it just fell right off when the adhesive there failed. Looking at the thin piece of metal, I found that the adhesive had almost entirely lost its stick and after just a touch or two was totally smooth, without so much as a slight catch. Going to try gluing the metal piece back on or maybe even just finding a more secure way to mount it than magnets and adhesive anyway. Going to contact their support as well and see if they have replacements for this as mine is now bent (by my own fault) from it being a thin piece of metal and my trying to re-adhere it to the base. Like I said though, the device itself outperformed even my hopes for it, and despite some other reviews I think its worth the money if youre an enthusiast or just a big nerd who could benefit from it. Just a shame that the most crucial point of the mounting system (the part that holds the device on) failed on me on day 2 :( EDIT: I discovered after leaving the review that they include 2 extra strips of metal with adhesive to use when the pre-installed one inevitably fails. I have installed one of those (after almost throwing them away, as they are well hidden on the back side of some of the packaging) and it has held much more strongly than the original since then. Id rather a product that doesnt fail at all than a failing product with replacements included because they know it will fail, but regardless of that though, it felt unfair to leave this review up without mentioning that there were replacements included :). Device itself still functioning well beyond expectation. Raised to 4 stars!

Fun to use, but the option to snap the mouse to it with small motions doesnt work reliably. Maybe it just needs better software.

Have you seen this thing? It, like, tracks where you eyes are looking..... what else are they tracking?

First, since its an object of some contention, I have my Eye Tracker mounted at the bottom of a 32 4K monitor, and it actually works really well with that setup. Fine tuning the responsiveness has been the hardest part, as using the Eye Tracker actually caused me some significant neck strain before I got everything all figured out. Eye Tracker or Head Tracker actually short-sells the product. Its a controller. Like a mouse, keyboard, HOTAS setup, or a console style gaming controller. It becomes an absolutely integral part of the games with which it functions. It tracks my eyes and head movement remarkably well, and I expect that my experience will only improve with time and software/driver updates. I cannot imagine playing a flight simulator without this technology, now that Ive owned it. It would be the same horror Id experience if I went back from a HOTAS throttle/joystick to a keyboard/mouse.

Build quality is good, tracking is not bad. The real issue here is the lack of supported software. Nearly all Windows 10 features advertised with this device are “temporarily disabled” either outright or while you have more than one monitor connected to your PC (even if you only intend to use one for tracking, which is all that’s supported anyway). Games that support eye tracking are limited, mostly gimmicks. The visible eye tracking feature for streaming is about the only appeal here right now. If that feature alone is worth the price tag then you won’t be disappointed, but if you wanted features like mouse warp and gaze PC locking/unlocking you’ll want to hold out until they actually work.

Works great and makes games more immersive by allowing you to look around more naturally.
