> 3 dayJust the umbrella I wanted. As others have stated, this umbrella is a tad bit heavier than the other ones out on the market however it also feels sturdier and not as flimsy due to the weight. Its definitely not one of those umbrellas you want to carry in a bag but more of one that you would use to pick up people (since it is a golf sized) and maybe leave in the car for when you do your groceries and such. If you want to carry it in your backpack, youll have to strap it to the side or expect it to poke out the top since its quite long. Other than that, its the umbrella I exactly wanted and if I had one bad thing about it is that it is not auto-close which makes me use both hands in order to close it. (The horror~~)

> 3 dayThis is a great umbrella; I ordered two. One for the house and one for my truck. Have used it once and its definitely sturdy and folds down relatively small compared to other umbrellas its size. It is a bit heavy as another reviewer mentioned, but I think that is the trade off to have something so well made. Both me and my husband can walk under it comfortably and not get wet. I ordered the Navy/White combination and I think it has a nice look to it!

> 3 dayMy old umbrella is at least 20 years old, but finally starting to show some wear. I opened it up to see what brand it was and it was a Totes. Bought some other designer umbrellas at T-Maxx or Marshalls and they fell apart quickly. I was initially concerned with the size being huge or the weight. I like that it is vented, the grip is rubber and has a nice feel and the color combination matches my cars interior. Like the design and everything about it. I hope it last 20 years like my last one.

> 3 dayI am very picky person, so of course I spent hours searching for an umbrella (crazy, right?). I was a little skeptical about ordering this umbrella because I thought it would be too big, but its actually a good size. Just looks larger online (duh). This umbrella was delivered just in time because the next day there was a thunderstorm with high winds. In the past, my umbrellas wouldnt stand a chance as they couldnt take heavy winds and sometimes my umbrella will turn inside out. Expecting the same for this one, I was surprised that I was able to hold it without any problems - handles wind like its nothing! My only minor complaint is that its a bit on the heavy side. Its my first time owning a vented umbrella so I wasnt expecting the weight to be on the heavy side, but its not a big deal after holding it for a bit. Would recommend this umbrella to anyone!

> 3 dayHeavy duty umbrella should hold up to winds. Large coverage, enough for 2 people. Kind of bulky and on heavy side but thats what I ordered. The handle could be a little more ergonomic.

22-11-2024The best way to test an umbrella is during hurricane season in South Florida. Best umbrella thus far. To bad someone stole it. Pros - Stands up wind gust - great coverage for two people - compact to fit in a fairly large back pack (this is not a purse friendly umbrella) - handles well in a heavy down pour - has a great opening mechanism and a breeze to close - comes with a cover that has netted vent - the handle also has an elastic band to wrap around your wrist - heavy enough to use a decent brunt object just i case your have to defend yourself :) Cons: - its not really a compact umbrella. Like i said ladies, its not purse friendly. This is must for a Floridian. Keep a close eye on it though... Someone WILL steal it.

> 3 dayIt was with a heavy heart that I ordered an umbrella. After 5 years in the Southern California area, it seemed like a surrender. However, this one is pretty solid. Good gusts of wind still give it problems - but its plenty big enough to keep you and your bag dry, which is really the point. I wonder if there is a better umbrella out there as it pertains to wind resistance, but this one is fairly stable.

> 3 dayProbably the best umbrella I ever had. And this is coming from a student New Yorker. It keeps two people comfortably. Can fit three if you try. We have terestrial downpours and winds that you can barely walk against on the regular. Cheap umbrellas are literally one time use in these conditions if they even last that one time. It gets beaten up at the side of my backpack constantly, and yet it still worked flawlessly for two years straight. I did not need to care about it because it simply worked. I stored it while wet for whole days straight. Finally it has met its end when the telescoping handle stopped extending because it rusted. The canvas could still be extended and you can still cover yourself from rain just as well, but you have to hold it up tall. The warranty process is straightforward. Just sent two tags and some information with $5 for shipping and got a brand new umbrella two weeks later no questions asked. Well done totes! Youve earned a loyal customer.

> 3 dayheavy duty but a bit longer then expected. hard to put into say a brief case bag or smaller laptop backbag for taking to work. does not auto close but its not difficult to close. no button to push, just PULL the slide in until it clicks locked closed. because it is heavy canopy its slower to open, but still a great umbrella. not quite golf sized but close to that just seemed smaller.

Greater than one weekLiving on the gulf coast we are subject to frequent and heavy thunderstorms. I used my umbrella this week in flash flood weather and it was well balanced and very easy to managed. While my shoes were drenched to the ankle, not a drop got no me or my files as I walked up a slight incline to through the prison gates (I am a lawyer). The auto deployment is smooth and very sturdy and folding it down when I got inside was a breeze. Very compact and well made. Am buying a few more for family and staff!!!
