I love this umbrella. It was the only one I could find that checked off all my requirements: Long Handle, Wide Covering and Vented. I its not the golf-sized umbrella that I see that could cover an entire family, but it does have a nice sized canopy. You can feel the stability of this umbrella every time it opens. I live in NYC and it travels well. It wont fit completely in most everyday bags but I knew I wanted something with a longer rod. My handle sticks out the top of my bag and I dont mind. My one complaint is the wrist strap off the handle. It is elastic and makes it annoying to carry with the strap as it bounces too much when walking.

I am sick of disposable umbrellas. I wanted a sturdy umbrella that would hold up to wind and I could tuck into my briefcase. This is more convenient than a traditional golf umbrella in that it collapses, but as previous reviewers have commented it is on the large size. I have a nylon briefcase/bag and this does fit in it, but not discretely--it projects out the top. However, as I travel by foot among several buildings this is useful to have available. I am willing to trade length for functionality (the extra panel for wind) . I wear glasses and absolutely detest getting water on them, hence the desire for an umbrella (I never know when a rain shower will pop up). Also the pattern (blue and white) makes it obvious, which is helpful in the dark or reduced visibility situations. I was once almost hit by a car while in a cross walk because I was wearing a dark coat and they just didnt see me.

I love this umbrella! Yes, it is HUGE, but because I hate getting rained on, this is the only umbrella that is big enough to keep me completely dry. Im 52 and 100 lbs, so Im not a big person, but normal sized umbrellas just cant block the rain completely, even less so if its rainy and windy. Id say this is big enough to decently cover 3 people my size, or 2 people if walking side by side. It is double vented and very sturdy. My only con for this product is that its heavier than Id like to have to carry around, especially if Im out shopping or running errands. If it ever need another umbrella, I would definitely purchase this again.

This is a great umbrella. It is a perfect size for my preference: big enough to cover me while Im commuting and wearing a backpack, but not too big to be unwieldy in the street or cumbersome to carry closed. It is also solidly built and has been able to stand-up to some pretty strong wind gusts. You do have to be careful though, because it is a large umbrella, the wind can pull you a bit when its open. My only wish for additional features would be an auto-close button, which I mistakenly assumed this model had. More of an oversight on my part than a drawback on the umbrella.

Good quality umbrella. Big and sturdy enough to cover two people yet small enough to be portable. Like another reviewer said, its still too big to fit in most backpacks but you can still work around that. Bigger than your typical portable umbrellas and smaller than the big golf umbrellas. I liked the first one I got that I ended up buying another one.

Bought this one hoping itll last for a long time, slightly disappointed. Pros: Big. Comes with a carrying sleeve. Compact (Tripple fold style). Strong metal construction. Cons: The connection between the frame and the cloth couldve been better. This is the part where it broke down for me. Yes, I could even fix it by sewing it back myself but, if I could sew it and make it stronger, why cant the manucator do a better job? It is very heart breaking to see something couldve been a perfect product not perfect because of something small. Bottom line: Good product that needs minor fix.

Ive owned several Totes umbrellas. They are stylish and have an easy open button. I especially like the ones with a vented canopy. It helps to keep the umbrella from turning inside out when the winds are strong. This umbrella is larger than the other one I own, which makes it easier to share. It comes with a handy cover to protect it. I am planning to order another one in a different color.

Heavy duty umbrella should hold up to winds. Large coverage, enough for 2 people. Kind of bulky and on heavy side but thats what I ordered. The handle could be a little more ergonomic.

Bought this umbrella for myself and used it twice. I notice that the weather in NY is a lot more extreme than Cali so this umbrella is perfect. I go through so many umbrellas and needed one that fit all the standards requirements to battles with the gusty winds. The auto open button works great when one is coming out of Starbucks in the morning and am holding a coffee with one hand. The vented canopy works great against the strong wind. I bought another one for my friend who lost her umbrella a few months ago as a Christmas gift. She loves it too.

This is a very good umbrella. I purchased it because my old umbrella broke and I liked the idea of adding a little color to the streets of New York. I have not had an issue with wind with it (which is good, because I live in a wind tunnel. Only thing I would change is possibly to include a button to have it detract or at least fold the umbrella up. As it stands now, to close, you pull it back. This is a minor request.
