> 24 hourIm an IT guy for hardware/software and know some about networks, IPs and subnets. I could not get this unit configured. Directions are confusing, there is no support contact number, only forums. They do answer the questions fairly quickly but they assumed I knew more about IP structure than I did, just as confusing as the directions. After 8 hours trying to get it configured on my home network, I gave up and got a modem from my provider with wifi built in. Up and running in 10 minutes. I would not recommend this AP unless you know your network configuration very well are comfortable changing network settings. Returning.

> 24 hourI have an ASUS RT-AC68U wireless router which, on wired connections, supports my 400 Mbps connection like a champ. The wireless however, only achieves about 50 Mbps. I wanted a wireless AP which I could utilize more of that 400 Mbps line. I picked this thing up. After having to mess around with some settings, I had it up and running. Standing next to the TP-Link AP I only received about 40 Mbps, while my ASUS achieved 50 Mbps...through 3 floors. I ran a speed test on the TP-Link from 3 floors away and it dropped to 20 Mbps with a weaker signal than my ASUS flashed with ASUSWRT-Merlin firmware. Waste of time and money for no noticeable upgrade. Returning.

> 24 hourTP-Links mesh APs have an intuitive browser interface as well as a networking app for my pc for controlling all my EAPs (Ethernet Access Points) in one place. Very happy with this purchase!

> 24 hourI am very happy with this access point. Initially it was providing very low speed, about 1/10th of what I was expecting, and I was about to return it. Luckily I tested the switch it was connected to and noticed the wired ethernet connection also had the same speed. Power cycled the switch and immediately the speed via wired and through this access point shot up to full speed. Hookup and installation was super simple.

> 24 hourSo I bought 2 of these units because I wanted 2 things, better wifi range and easy POE (power over ethernet) type AP (Access points). So I decided with these units because the POE injectors were included and the speed was good and still could do 866Mbps when very close to the units. So I installed a single unit and in the middle of my house and to replace my Linksys AC 1700 unit with the same SSID name and password. This did not work through the setup portal or manually changing it. So I waited a few days and went into the web portal and changed the encryption to WEP and that seemed to work. Everything started connecting to the wifi unit. Then I added the second unit at the back of my house with the same settings. A few days go by and then I keep getting dropped wifi signal and ALL of my chromecast, nest hub, and nest display start saying network issues. So I unplugged all of the APs and install my old router and boom all my devices start working again. Im pretty tech savvy and have created websites, build computers and have a bunch of smart things in my house. So I could ended up sending these units back and never could get them to work properly. I looked up online and the commercial encryption type for these units do not like the residential encryption compatibility. So they dont play nice.
