This is a tool I have always wanted since I first tried a TS4000 years ago. Finally bought the TS8000 and it is incredible. I should not have cheaped out the first time with a no-name wanna be. It is perfect in my opinion. Just pick it up and squeeze. The gas comes on and lights all at once, every time. Then let go and it goes off immediately. It has a lock on and a lock off. And the control knob on back is easy to adjust. I never have trouble getting the flame size I want.

I am using it with a green 16oz camping propane tank, great for searing meat after sous vide

I bought this torch to use in a firebrick forge I made to use for blacksmithing type projects. The torch works great for a mini-forge application. Very sturdy and the auto-ignite is still working a month later.

Disappointing! It takes between 3 and 15 clicks of the igniter to get this thing to light. I assumed that at this price it would be a good item and work as advertised, but apparently not. If you buy this expecting it to work well you will be disappointed. Now its a month later and it takes 20 to 30 clicks to get it to light. This thing is about worthless!! OK, huge change of opinion! I could not fathom how so many reviews loved this and I did not. So I decided to return it and Amazon offered to send a replacement. Seemed prudent to try this and apparently I got a bad one. This can happen in any product line, no matter how good they generally are. Now my new one lights the first or second time every time. I am happy, and Amazon was super helpful in fixing the problem. Thanks Amazon and thanks to the Bernzomatic company.

Ive used this quite a bit now -- repiped nearly half a house. Its been reliable. It has very high heat output. The regulator feature, which lets you use the torch at awkward angles, will spoil you. Having a nice torch like this makes a lot of difference if youre using it a lot, especially if youre not just working on a bench but having to solder things in awkward places where the regulator really comes in handy.

I use this torch with mapp gas to remove extremely stuck seat post. I have removed about 20 of seat posts. It takes me about 5-10 minutes. This work very well. It could save me a lot of time. This torch is lower flow than other torch. I have used the turbo torch. The flame is hotter.

This torch is TITS. I have had many self igniting torches over the years; none compare to this one. 1 copper joints brazed in under a minute. You can turn down the flame also to light pilots. Love this torch.
