> 3 dayI’ve tried many brands of smart plugs over the years and this was by far the easiest and worked the first time. Highly recommended

> 3 dayThis product connected quickly to HomeKit and given its simplicity (on/off outlet switch) there is not a lot to worry about. Upon launching the associated native application you are asked to register for an account (really wish you did not need to do that) and then the ap scans for firmware updates. Updates are always good and welcome, however in this case my IDS/IPS system instantly alerted of a possible trojan in the .bin file the device downloaded the firmware in. This is not a good sign and one expects the company to work with network companies to ensure this is reasoned. The issue us apparently known as a false positive, so it should have been remediated.

> 3 dayThese work very dependably once you get them setup, but it took 3 to 5 tries to get them to connect to my WiFi. I bought the 4 pack and three of them about had me pulling my hair out, the last one paired up and worked on the first try. I did a reset on them before setting them up, so that wasnt the problem and there was no real indication of what the actual problem was, they just wouldnt setup until you were ready to throw them away, then suddenly they would work...as if they knew (they are SMART plugs, dont ya know!) that you were about to give up. :) Anyway, once they were setup, they work like a charm! Very dependably you can either use the Apple Home app to switch them on and off, use a motion sensor to switch them on and off and use Siri to turn them on and off. No issues at all once they are setup.

> 3 dayI have had 4 different companies of smart plugs and this by far beats the competition! For one you get 2 for the price of one from other companies! The price point is perfect to give any outdated, boring light/plug-in a smart home upgrade. The device was extremely easy to set up and the connection stays strong, especially compared to my Wemo smart plug (requires a hub) and iHome smart plug, both of which often lose signal and disconnect all the time, making them inoperable most of the time. The smart plug has had no issues! The design is more compact and smaller than my other smart plugs and has a two toned gray & white design that’s attractive to the eye and not distracting. It took me a matter of minutes to connect this to HomeKit, Alexa & Google! Also, no hub required! By far the best smart plug on the market.

> 3 day3 of 4 of these joined HomeKit network without issue. The 4th tried multiple times and will not connect to HomeKit thru the Home app or VOCOlinc app. Also tried to add to Google home and also was not able to connect.

> 3 dayWorking well for about a week with Homekit. I have not had any disconnection problems. I have used the Vocolinc switch with iPhone, iPad Pro, and Mac Mini. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme. Some slight initial confusion with setup but this is my first smart device setup with Apple Homekit. I found that I needed to use the Vocolinc app to scan the device initially. Scanning with the Apple Home app did not work even though the device did appear in the Home app. There are instructions and a user guide included and VR codes on each device. It can be difficult to scan the VR code if the device is plugged in the wall but the codes are also printed on the inside of the box and on the user guide. You just need to scan the code that matches the individual socket making sure to block any other VR codes. Update: I bought 2 more of these and was able to use Apple’s Home App to scan the devices without using Vocolinc’s app. Still working great!

> 3 dayIt was somewhat difficult to get the app to recognize the switch. In at least a couple of instances I had to factory reset the switch several times. After successful pairing and firmware update they all work fine. I M still trying to integrate them into Google Home. That process is not well documented.

> 3 dayIf youre like me, youre in the midst of trying to make your home a smart home. A big part of this is controlling lights or appliances. Rather than spend $20-30 for each hue bulbs (since I dont need the color changing or brightness for some) this was a cost effective way of making lamps smart. Easy to install via homekit, and havent had any connectivity issues. Simply put, it works!

05-06-2025I purchased a couple of iHome smart outlets last year and they have been working great. I even move them around to different rooms/lamps, etc. and just rename them and they have no problem. These Vocolinc plugs are much cheaper and seem to be made to work with Apple Homekit well. Setup is easy for Homekit. You just plug them in and open the wifi on your settings and youll see a message in a few moments for the new plug to join the network and add to Homekit. When you respond yes youll get a prompt to scan the QR code from the box or the plug. Do that and it shows up in your home a few seconds later. Voila, youre done. Now you can set lamps to automatically turn on or off by schedule or as part of a scene. This product is a great addition so far!
