> 3 dayWorks great, after the involved setup. VOCOlinc App controls it nicely. Apple Home Kit links up quickly, works great. Alexa App, another story. Fought for hours to get it to link up. Finally got it, worked for about a month.(unlinked itself) In order to re-link Alexa. I had to reset Plug. Go through involved setup (even tho Apple Home and Vocolinc were still working) Few hours later got it all linked up and working. This time Alexa App only stayed linked up for about a week. Repeated setup, and now cant get Alexa app to link up, tried for several days. I give up. More than likely, this is a great product. Maybe the Alexa App is making this look bad? Maybe on purpose? Would I have this problem if I had purchased the Amazon Brand Plug-in?

> 3 dayI really like these remote outlets a lot. I got them, mainly to control some lights outside under a patio roof. The setup and install was very simple. Remove the outlet from the box, plug it into a wall socket, install the app on your phone and scan the QR code in the box that comes with each outlet. The outlet will join the WiFi network after the app configures it and you are mostly done. You could control it right from the VOCOlinc app or add it to HomeKit, like I did. Name it in HomeKit and put it in a room, then it is as simple as Hey Siri, turn on the patio lights and you are done! From a security perspective, we should all be concerned about these IoT types of devices and what they might do on our network. I used the MAC address on the box to assign them static IP addresses over DHCP. Then I created a network policy to log all packets outbound from the outlets. To my surprise, the only traffic they generated to the Internet was a network time request to pool.ntp.org. One packet, that was it. So far, after a week, that is still the only traffic that was sent out from the devices. This doesnt mean that it wont cause a problem long-term, but I believe you can safely block all traffic from them to the Internet and they will still function fine. I am very impressed with the outlets so far and hope they continue to function for years to come!

Greater than one weekChiming to say that these work perfectly with HomeKit. I use a HomePod mini as a hub and have Nest WiFi mesh routers. These smart plugs work great. Ive got four so far in my home and theyve yet to disconnect/fail after a full year of constant usage. Id recommend these if youre looking for a reliable/affordable smart plug to use with HomeKit. Note that, while you can use these without installing any third-party app, you *do* need to have the VOCOlinc app to update the firmware. Updates dont come by often, but I noticed that you cannot do so via the Apple Home app itself; youll need VOCOlincs app from the App Store.

> 3 dayIt was so easy and quick to set up the VOCOlink SmartBar switch device using my iPhone and their LinkWise app. Great value for the price! Be sure your phone or tablet is connected to your 2.4GHz network first before connecting this switch to your WIFI network. You can switch your phone/tablet back to your 5GHz network when you are done. You need to use the LinkWise app to initially connect the switch, and their app must be given permission to the Apple Home app . You should also update the firmware for the switch, using the LinkWise app, right after you first connect it to your WiFi network. The LinkWise app automatically adds the devices to the Apple “Home” app. I now use the Apple Home app to control all my WiFi switch devices, including the VOCOlink switches. I liked this switch so much, I ordered two more.

> 3 dayIf youre like me, youre in the midst of trying to make your home a smart home. A big part of this is controlling lights or appliances. Rather than spend $20-30 for each hue bulbs (since I dont need the color changing or brightness for some) this was a cost effective way of making lamps smart. Easy to install via homekit, and havent had any connectivity issues. Simply put, it works!

Greater than one weekWas ridiculously easy to set up with Apple Home. Works flawlessly. Voice commands with Siri work and are fast. Timers and automations set though the Home app work perfect. I started with 4 to use with Christmas decorations and now am ordering more. Exceeded all my expectations so far.

> 3 dayIve used three or four different brands of smart plugs and the VOCOlinc plugs are the easiest Ive yet seen to install and configure for Apple HomeKit. Theyre far easier to set up than a brand that shall not be named but that rhymes with Nemo. I downloaded VOCOlincs app, plugged in each plug in turn and held the power button to put it in reset mode, and the app did the rest. I particularly liked the fact that the app offers to run in HomeKit mode where it does not send any of your device data to the companys own cloud service, but just connects your devices to your Home directly. No futzing around with setting up wi-fi networks and passwords, no complications at all - just scan the HomeLink setup code from within their app and youre good to go. The devices alerted me to the fact that firmware updates were available, and within a couple of minutes all of my new smart plugs had updated themselves. Again, a far easier and more automatic process than Ive found with some competing brands.

> 3 dayThese work very dependably once you get them setup, but it took 3 to 5 tries to get them to connect to my WiFi. I bought the 4 pack and three of them about had me pulling my hair out, the last one paired up and worked on the first try. I did a reset on them before setting them up, so that wasnt the problem and there was no real indication of what the actual problem was, they just wouldnt setup until you were ready to throw them away, then suddenly they would work...as if they knew (they are SMART plugs, dont ya know!) that you were about to give up. :) Anyway, once they were setup, they work like a charm! Very dependably you can either use the Apple Home app to switch them on and off, use a motion sensor to switch them on and off and use Siri to turn them on and off. No issues at all once they are setup.

Greater than one weekThis is a good switch.. I bought the 2 pack. I really only needed one, but the price was good so I thought Im sure Ill find a use for the second switch. I was attracted to this because of the ability to integrate with homekit. I have an Orbi mesh setup, it broadcasts the same SSID for the 5ghz and 2.4ghz, with no apparent way to temporarily turn off the 5ghz network. The process to setup the switch goes like this on an iPhone. Download the manufacturers app -> click on add device -> You are then bounced to the homekit screen to scan the QR code for the device. Your phone MUST be on the 2.4ghz network for it to work. Thats where my problem was. I solved this by taking a 100ft extension cord and going out into the yard where the 5ghz doesnt reach. With phone connected to the 2.4ghz network (I can verify this by checking in the Orbi app), it had no problem setting up the first switch. I could not get the second one to work. As far as the working switch goes, no problems, works fine after unplugging and plugging back in where it connects to the 2.4ghz network with no issue. Hope this helps you make a decision.

> 3 dayAs one of the reviews that I’ve read stated, I was about pulling my hair out getting these to connect. I don’t think it should take that long and requires so many attempts.
