> 3 dayI have a bunch of Alexa smart plugs, but finding a Homekit plug that works as well as the Alexa ones has been a challenge. Thankfully, this VOCOlinc one has come along to save the day! Its very simple to setup and works perfectly. Its super fast and responsive when triggered by voice or directly with my iPhone/iPad home app. If you need a homekit plug, this is your best option.

> 3 dayI purchased these plugs to connect a few lamps with Apple’s HomeKit. We use the HomePod mini as our hub. Installation and setup is pretty easy. The product provides the ability to turn a device on/off with the use of Siri or with a couple taps on your apple device. You could also program it to use automations or follow a specified schedule. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase. I’m glad I did not need to purchase smart bulbs as I did not need control over the lights’ color or intensity. Plus I could use the smart plug with devices other than lighting. Easy recommendation for those looking to try a simple smart home setup with minimal investment.

> 3 dayTheres not much to these, theyre smart plugs that turn something on and off when you program it to. The only smart items in my home are my lights and a Nest Thermostat. So I have been very interested in trying out Smart home technology, but never really had a need for a power outlet. The Christmas, I got annoyed going behind the tree and plugging/unplugging the tree. I also felt like I wanted the tree lights on every time we were home, to maximize our efforts in even putting up the tree. So, I added this plug to my network and eventually into Amazon Alexa as well as my Apple Homekit. Once all connected, it hasnt had any hiccups or issues. Its pretty reliable, granted its right next to my router, so I cannot speak for range. I had some issues connecting. Not sure why... Im fairly tech/network savvy. Eventually, I got it setup. Now I have another one doing nothing right at this moment and I keep trying to think of things I can use it for and what Im going to do with the one for the Christmas tree once its gone. These definitely are a luxury for me. The reasoning behind the tree are really for convenience. So I only really recommend this if you have a clear need and reason for automating one of your plugs.. or else its a waste of money.

> 3 dayIf youre like me, youre in the midst of trying to make your home a smart home. A big part of this is controlling lights or appliances. Rather than spend $20-30 for each hue bulbs (since I dont need the color changing or brightness for some) this was a cost effective way of making lamps smart. Easy to install via homekit, and havent had any connectivity issues. Simply put, it works!

Greater than one weekI bought a couple of these and will probably have to buy more. They were very easy to set up and use. They work flawlessly with HomeKit and that was my main reason for purchasing them!

> 3 dayI have several of these in my house, and I love them being HomeKit compatible. These are very easy to setup and connect to HomeKit up using the VOCOlinc iOS app. A note to VOCOLinc: this set did not include any QR codes on the back of the guide like all the others had I’ve purchased in the past. These will have to be connected by the QR code printed on the plug itself, a slight inconvenience if the plug is behind heavy furniture and the QR codes needs to be scanned again.

> 3 dayIt was so easy and quick to set up the VOCOlink SmartBar switch device using my iPhone and their LinkWise app. Great value for the price! Be sure your phone or tablet is connected to your 2.4GHz network first before connecting this switch to your WIFI network. You can switch your phone/tablet back to your 5GHz network when you are done. You need to use the LinkWise app to initially connect the switch, and their app must be given permission to the Apple Home app . You should also update the firmware for the switch, using the LinkWise app, right after you first connect it to your WiFi network. The LinkWise app automatically adds the devices to the Apple “Home” app. I now use the Apple Home app to control all my WiFi switch devices, including the VOCOlink switches. I liked this switch so much, I ordered two more.

Greater than one weekWorking well for about a week with Homekit. I have not had any disconnection problems. I have used the Vocolinc switch with iPhone, iPad Pro, and Mac Mini. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme. Some slight initial confusion with setup but this is my first smart device setup with Apple Homekit. I found that I needed to use the Vocolinc app to scan the device initially. Scanning with the Apple Home app did not work even though the device did appear in the Home app. There are instructions and a user guide included and VR codes on each device. It can be difficult to scan the VR code if the device is plugged in the wall but the codes are also printed on the inside of the box and on the user guide. You just need to scan the code that matches the individual socket making sure to block any other VR codes. Update: I bought 2 more of these and was able to use Apple’s Home App to scan the devices without using Vocolinc’s app. Still working great!

Greater than one weekThese are junk. When I can even get them set up they only stay online for a few hours before dropping off. They are plenty close to the router and no other items have issues but these wifi plugs. Most VOCOlinc products seem pretty good but these plugs are a giant waste of money. Avoid at all cost. Revision - after latest firmware update they work. Seem solid now.
