> 3 dayAs one of the reviews that I’ve read stated, I was about pulling my hair out getting these to connect. I don’t think it should take that long and requires so many attempts.

Greater than one weekI purchased a couple of iHome smart outlets last year and they have been working great. I even move them around to different rooms/lamps, etc. and just rename them and they have no problem. These Vocolinc plugs are much cheaper and seem to be made to work with Apple Homekit well. Setup is easy for Homekit. You just plug them in and open the wifi on your settings and youll see a message in a few moments for the new plug to join the network and add to Homekit. When you respond yes youll get a prompt to scan the QR code from the box or the plug. Do that and it shows up in your home a few seconds later. Voila, youre done. Now you can set lamps to automatically turn on or off by schedule or as part of a scene. This product is a great addition so far!

> 3 dayThese smart plugs installed very easily and work as described. I tested with Google, Alexa, and Apple. I previously bought some other smart plugs that were also for Apple but had issues. I successfully installed one of the plugs, but after a power failure the next day, the plug never worked, nor any of the other plugs, so that’s when I bought the VOCOlinc plugs. I also installed the VOCOlinc app so that I could save and manage the plugs. After you install the plugs, you should do the firmware update for each of the plugs. The app steps you through the easy update. As a note, I have an xFinity dual band router (2.4 and 5G) and did not have to perform anything special with the router for the plugs to install. The smart plugs are smart!

> 3 dayI’ve tried a lot of Smartplugs and VOCOlinc’s Smartplugs are one of the easiest to connect to their app and Google Assistant and to use and control. I like that I can use them to turn off lamps, iron, hair straighteners, and other items around the house that can use a lot of energy when on / plugged in, but not used, and cause a lot of damage if left on. I like that it’s one of only 2 smartplugs brands that are compatible with the platform of an energy company in California called OhmConnect. So when the grid needs me to use less energy, OhmConnect turns my smartplugs and the devices connected to them off for me. I save energy and OhmConnect pays me for it. Now, I connect my boys’ computers to them to help preserve the battery. We always tell them to unplug their computers after school is over, but they usually forget. Therefore, I’ve scheduled the smartplugs to turn off everyday after school is over and back on in the morning when they start school again. So whether they unplug their computers or not, we’re covered.

Greater than one weekTheres not much to these, theyre smart plugs that turn something on and off when you program it to. The only smart items in my home are my lights and a Nest Thermostat. So I have been very interested in trying out Smart home technology, but never really had a need for a power outlet. The Christmas, I got annoyed going behind the tree and plugging/unplugging the tree. I also felt like I wanted the tree lights on every time we were home, to maximize our efforts in even putting up the tree. So, I added this plug to my network and eventually into Amazon Alexa as well as my Apple Homekit. Once all connected, it hasnt had any hiccups or issues. Its pretty reliable, granted its right next to my router, so I cannot speak for range. I had some issues connecting. Not sure why... Im fairly tech/network savvy. Eventually, I got it setup. Now I have another one doing nothing right at this moment and I keep trying to think of things I can use it for and what Im going to do with the one for the Christmas tree once its gone. These definitely are a luxury for me. The reasoning behind the tree are really for convenience. So I only really recommend this if you have a clear need and reason for automating one of your plugs.. or else its a waste of money.

> 3 dayThese work very dependably once you get them setup, but it took 3 to 5 tries to get them to connect to my WiFi. I bought the 4 pack and three of them about had me pulling my hair out, the last one paired up and worked on the first try. I did a reset on them before setting them up, so that wasnt the problem and there was no real indication of what the actual problem was, they just wouldnt setup until you were ready to throw them away, then suddenly they would work...as if they knew (they are SMART plugs, dont ya know!) that you were about to give up. :) Anyway, once they were setup, they work like a charm! Very dependably you can either use the Apple Home app to switch them on and off, use a motion sensor to switch them on and off and use Siri to turn them on and off. No issues at all once they are setup.

08-06-2025I was hesitant about purchasing after reading some of the reviews. After using it daily in my bedroom over several weeks, I have not had a single issue with this plug. I use it with my iPhone and have not had any issues with it integrating with HomeKit. I can access it by using the widget, app, or Siri. Setup was incredibly easy, and I installed access on an iPhone and an iPad. If I need another smart plug, I would definitely buy this one again.

> 3 dayWorks great with iPhone and Homepod. I am able to schedule the time in the home app for automation which I found to be the most useful. I gave 4 star because sometimes the response from HomePod is slow. Other than that, its a great smart plug for Siri.
