> 3 dayHey Siri, turn on the router fan. I used it all summer for my WFH setup because the office area gets warm and I need the fan to cool off the equipment. Through HomeKit I also have a scheduled timer to turn off the fan at 7pm in case I forget. Easy to setup and never an issue. Now I want one for Hey Siri, turn on the Christmas Tree.

> 3 dayTheres not much to these, theyre smart plugs that turn something on and off when you program it to. The only smart items in my home are my lights and a Nest Thermostat. So I have been very interested in trying out Smart home technology, but never really had a need for a power outlet. The Christmas, I got annoyed going behind the tree and plugging/unplugging the tree. I also felt like I wanted the tree lights on every time we were home, to maximize our efforts in even putting up the tree. So, I added this plug to my network and eventually into Amazon Alexa as well as my Apple Homekit. Once all connected, it hasnt had any hiccups or issues. Its pretty reliable, granted its right next to my router, so I cannot speak for range. I had some issues connecting. Not sure why... Im fairly tech/network savvy. Eventually, I got it setup. Now I have another one doing nothing right at this moment and I keep trying to think of things I can use it for and what Im going to do with the one for the Christmas tree once its gone. These definitely are a luxury for me. The reasoning behind the tree are really for convenience. So I only really recommend this if you have a clear need and reason for automating one of your plugs.. or else its a waste of money.

> 3 dayWell I have pretty much everything in my apartment automated , Wi-Fi or blue tooth and I purchased two new fountains and of course I wanted Siri to be able to control them as well . So my first choice was the product that is similar to the fish . I had 2 1/2 to 3 months of failure and disappointment with that product . So I purchased these and connection was easy ( I have the Apple home ) and the plugs have worked flawlessly . Based on my experience I would recommend .

> 3 dayI purchased these plugs to connect a few lamps with Apple’s HomeKit. We use the HomePod mini as our hub. Installation and setup is pretty easy. The product provides the ability to turn a device on/off with the use of Siri or with a couple taps on your apple device. You could also program it to use automations or follow a specified schedule. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase. I’m glad I did not need to purchase smart bulbs as I did not need control over the lights’ color or intensity. Plus I could use the smart plug with devices other than lighting. Easy recommendation for those looking to try a simple smart home setup with minimal investment.

> 3 dayI bought a couple of these and will probably have to buy more. They were very easy to set up and use. They work flawlessly with HomeKit and that was my main reason for purchasing them!

07-06-2025I have not been able to find a smart outlet that is a reasonable price that integrated with HomeKit until I bought these as my last straw before I gave up. Right out of the box, super easy to set up, no error messages like every other plugs, just easy simple and good. I didn’t mention yet either but, I’ve only set them up and connected them once. THEY ALWAYS WORK. You know if you have HomeKit devices it takes like a good three setups after a simple power outage. These connect right back up like it was never not connected. 10/10 recommend!!!

> 3 dayWorking well for about a week with Homekit. I have not had any disconnection problems. I have used the Vocolinc switch with iPhone, iPad Pro, and Mac Mini. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme. Some slight initial confusion with setup but this is my first smart device setup with Apple Homekit. I found that I needed to use the Vocolinc app to scan the device initially. Scanning with the Apple Home app did not work even though the device did appear in the Home app. There are instructions and a user guide included and VR codes on each device. It can be difficult to scan the VR code if the device is plugged in the wall but the codes are also printed on the inside of the box and on the user guide. You just need to scan the code that matches the individual socket making sure to block any other VR codes. Update: I bought 2 more of these and was able to use Apple’s Home App to scan the devices without using Vocolinc’s app. Still working great!

> 3 dayThese work great but set up was frustrating. I’m using these with my air conditioners in my living room and my bedroom and I love that you can set schedules with these outlets. For example I have one air conditioner set to turn on when I’m on my way home from work so that the apartment is nice and cool when I get home and I have the one in my bedroom set to turn on a little while before I go to bed so the room is cool and comfortable when I get in bed. My only issues with these were the set up. 1) They need to be plugged in to set up. Which makes perfect sense but the QR code that you need to scan is on the bottom of the outlet so I had to get on the floor and lay under it while pointing my phone at the code. Uncomfortable and awkward but forgivable. 2) Set up with the Home app on an iPhone (Mine) and an IPad (girlfriends) was annoying and overly complicated.
